Works Great. We bought a couple of them!!
This works Great!!! I bought it for my 7 year old son for football games. It cools him down when he is on the sidelines and at half time. It works so well I bought one for my wife and myself to cool us down on the hot days at his games. Many other parents also bought them when they saw ours. I recommend for anyone doing any athletic activity in the heat! It is like a little air conditioner. The mist is so fine you don't get wet!!

Doesn't function well
I constantly have issues with the spray not working. I've bought 3 now and they do seem to lose their misting function quickly. Also, they "leak" air a lot and do tend to make hissing noise which is quite irritating. I want to like this product so bad but I've had too many issues to buy again.

Great alternative to the hard to find Misty Mate
Update 1/16/18- bought a second unit- the new version does not have a pressure gauge, it has been replaced with a pressure relief valve, which may or may not be an improvement.I the desert southwest misters can be life savers, literally, when you are spending time out in the 100+ dry weather. Many a bike ride or desert day hike has been made better by using a mister. This mister bottle is a great replacement for the old Misty Mates- no bag, fits in a bike cage or pack pocket or water bottle carrier. The nozzle is brass and can be replaced, and the pressure gauge makes it easy to see if you need to give it a few pumps. Durably made lid and pump and a thick bottle. And the fact that there is no bag and it is a clear bottle, you know when it is going empty.I have used several versions of the Misty Mate, but they always have similar issues- hose starts to leak or mister nozzles become clogged or cracked and it is hard to find a replacement. Plus the bags they come in are not exactly multi use, they tend to be limited in deployment options. Now they are virtually impossible to find, and when you do, they are too pricey. This easily takes the place, I am buying another just in case they go out of production as well.

I really loved this - it worked great
I really loved this - it worked great. Then we pulled it out to use it for our next vacation and it did not work at all. Now we have to purchase another. I wish there was a warranty available.

Strong Hands Needed
Product purchased for use by an active older woman (late 70's) who wanted something to help manage the summer heat in the American Southwest while she is out-and-about. It is used only with distilled or RO water as the tap water in her area has a great deal of dissolved solids (high TDS) that will quickly plug a fine nozzle. (Besides, who wants to breath all the fine particulate that will result when droplets made with such tap water evaporate around you as you mist?)Favorite uses: Misting the interior of a sun-parked car. It cools the oven much quicker than starting the engine and turning on the AC will. Misting the steering wheel on the same sun-parked car so that hands can bear to hold it. I imagine that it would make leather or--god forbid--plastic seats much more comfortable as well (not sure on that point because hers are cloth).Like: Good mist pattern. Reasonably fine droplets (but even smaller drops would be better). The pressure gauge is useful. The grip bumps on the lid are mandatory. The entirely mechanical nature (no batteries needed) is a plus. Overall simplicity is a plus. Appearance is good.Borderline: The "ON" and "Off" positions on the spray valve are not explicitly clear. There is a symbol on one face of the paddle-like switch, but it is non-standard and the meaning doesn't jump out at you. When pumping up the pressure, the user quickly discovers whether they remembered correctly. But hey, a little water surprise never hurt anyone.Speculative Concern: This unit will be used in hot areas. This unit is larger and heavier than my user is likely to carry with her. Instead, the unit will remain in her car. There, in the hot Southwestern sun it will bake at some pretty toasty temperatures (an afternoon of playing Bridge while the outside temperature is 106 F and the sky is cloudless, for example). Without carefully made molds and appropriately designed--and followed--processes, the plastic parts will warp as they relieve internal stresses. Loss of functionality will likely follow (and perhaps an unwanted puddle). Unfortunately, in general, the more economical the molding process, the greater the molded in stresses. The price of this unit is high enough that one may reasonably expect that serious environmental testing was conducted, appropriate processes were developed, and that conscientious quality control is applied. Time will tell.Dislike:By the time the pressure needle is about half-way up the gauge face, the pump handle is making crackling sounds. This implies internal structural problems. The unit hasn't been used enough to find out if those sounds translate to a functional failure such as fracture. Being such a failure will occur while a hand is applying force on the pump handle, the potential for injury is significant. I do hope the manufacturer has tested the handle to the fatigue failure point and has verified that handle design is such that the most probable failure does not put plastic slivers into the user's palm.Just Plane Bad: The seal between the bottle (reservoir) and the top (pump, gauge, nozzle, and control valve assembly) is awful. As received, the user could not get it to seal well enough to hold useful pressure. By turning the top very hard, I could seal well enough to build up pressure, but it decayed rapidly. I examined the sealing surface and found it rough. A half-hour of hand work later, I had the surface smooth enough that I could get a usable seal with moderate force. Unfortunately, my "moderate force" is "great force" for the hands of the intended user. She is willing to give it a try, and is off to conquer another corner of her world. The seal I achieved still had a small, slow leak. There are multiple technical issues with how the seal is made, both in design and in execution. For starters, relying on a corner to jam into an O-ring is iffy at best. Having that corner in an unscrewing core is a prescription for unevenness. If the manufacturer reads this, they should understand sufficiently. I'll spare the majority of readers more detail.Upshot... I'm looking for a better unit, one better suited to a non-technical geriatric, because I do not expect this one to be judged "acceptable" after a few days of trial.

I had purchased the article cove mister a couple of years ago, not the same. They removed the pressure gauge, which lets you know how much to pump up to maximum pressure! Also the bottle is not as thick as the older ones!

Nothing else could keep us cool in Disney World
OMG! Nothing else could keep us cool in Disney World! Better than expected. Sure, necklace fans are nice, umbrella hats are nice. But this misting bottle is dependable and long lasting. Love it, love it, love it! Only weird thing was that mine came with a pressure monitor, but my wife's didn't for some reason. Bought it March 2017 at $11.15, then another for my wife in April for $14. Now in June the price has skyrocketed to $27.49. Glad I got mine early! Still works great 3 months later.
