According to Consumer Labs, (paid for nonprofit subscription) taking zinc every 2 hours at the start of a cold reduces sick days by 30% (2 to 3 days) as well as the severity. Consumer Labs tested this product and gave it an "approved". It is the most cost efficient of all the products approved by CL. Cold viruses stick to and spread in the throat. Zinc covers the throat making it difficult for the virus to stick and multiply.My wife caught a cold last week (we had these in our sick cabinet for these situations). Cold was not as sever as expected and was over within a week. Make sure to use a timer for every 2 hours first two days and every 3 for days 3 and 4 (only take during awake periods). Don't stop until symptom free.

Chewable, but sucking and pill disolves. This was recommended by my Doctor friend. The Office almost never had sick days. Usually the People with young children had any oroblems. Lets face it, kids have alot of contact, but the Zinc keeps viruses from multiplying. So it greatly reduces the time and viral loads. Making a flue cut in half and eases complications. 2005 was the last cold and flus i contacted.

Wanting to add some zinc for an extra layer of protection? I would recommend these. Pop it in your mouth and let it melt. Not terrible.

As a person highly chemically sensitive, I stay away from pharmaceuticals and OTC medications. At the first sign of any type of infection, viral, bacterial, fungal, I reach for this to lick it fast and without any adverse effects. As someone respected in my community for being knowledgeable in "natural health" with my advice often sought, I recommend this product to the extent it is probably one of my top 10 most common recommendations.

The media could not be loaded. Product is great, I’ve been using this for years. When they packed the 4 bottles (they were sold 4 per purchase) they taped all 4 together and when you took the tape off it tore the instructions off of the bottles.I gave it a 1 star for “Easy to swallow” as they are not meant to be swallowed. That option shouldn’t even be listed. They dissolve in your mouth in about 1 to 2 minutes and have a pleasant taste, with no after taste.

Tried some different types of zinc after my usual brand disappeared and they all tasted awful Until we found this brand. We took one right away when they arrived ready to say Nope but alas, these turned out to be perfect maybe better than our old brand. No funny after taste either. Buy them!

I ordered this product because I believe using zinc at the first sign of a sore throat or cold really does work to ward off a full blown illness. I have used this & other zinc products & find them to be effective. The reason I would buy this product again is because the taste & after taste is much better than others I have tried although that would not be a deal breaker for me but would be for others. So far, those I have shared this with find the taste much better and therefore will use when needed. Will buy again.

If I start getting a sore throat or free like I'm coming down with a cold I take these pills or actually their lozenges one every 30 minutes for 2 hours and the symptoms have to have gone away. Would recommend to anyone who wants to stay healthy.
