Alphacool Eisball Reservoir and Pump Combo, D5, Digital RGB, Plexi

Wanted a different pump/res to go in my new build, this caught my eye!Pump is whisper quiet, even full blast, I still can't hear it once the system is burped, puts out insane amount of flow. The res capacity is huge.The res/ball is super bright, I would say it works with any 3 pin ARGB as the controller works with my Phaneteks block, a limited selection of psychedelic disco/clown vomit modes, I just stick with solid or breathing red.The only thing I worry about is cleaning my ball after a few months, since it is welded shut, possibly soap water and some shaking, they also say that you should never put dye (especially uv) in your ball since it's made out of easily stained nylon.So I used distilled water and liquid utopia as coolant, since I don't want to stain my ball red.Be warned this is a big pump, it is slightly wider than a 120mm fan and about the same heightWith the included pump you can mount the ball at any angle, even upside down making it easy to burp your rig.So if you have the space, the eisball (Iceball) is a unique, functional centerpiece for your rig! I might eventually get a second eisball!UPDATE: 1/2022Still works perfect! I have since switched to soft-tube and when this pump kicks on, it makes the tubes "bump" great head pressure on this guy.

Great res but can be a pain to clean.

If you have experience with custom loop builds it's a great reservoir and pump. The fan/pump plug was the only thing I had to figure out as it wasn't discussed in the instructions at all and had a four-pin plug. Fits on a three-pin with no problem btw.

This is super amazing and connects directly to the LED output on your motherboard so you can controll the colors of the ball with the color control for a LED motherboard!

This thing quit pumping for some reason. I can't find any support number to call. I had to buy a second cpu water block as the first started leaking internally. Also an Alphacool product. Now that I have it reinstalled I see that the pump quit working. Probably what caused the crashes and broken water block. I disassembled the water reservoir and pump. The pump is totally locked up. Removed the propeller, cleaned, and reassembled. Honestly it wasn't dirty. It was brand new basically. Put it all back together. Lot of work might I add. It ran for about 2 minutes and locked up again. What to do with an item with no support? Trash can I guess? I have multiple liquid cooled computers. All with EK D5 pumps. No issues whatsoever. I will never change brands again. Sorry for the rant. But I don't want anyone else to have to go through all this trouble. Please choose wisely!

The Eisball is one of the few unique reservoirs available for cooling. The diverse mounting options are useful, I've mounted it sideways. The lighting is also beautiful.

1st one received was defective mold on the IN port and would not let the fitting go on and seal, OUT port had no issues with all 14 alphacool fittings which where same attempted to use on the IN port.. No replacement was avalable so go forced to order on right from Germany and pay extra 50$ shipping to get one that worked.. Test the ports with fittings when you first get one do not wait!
