Worked great out of the wrapper
This is the first Dudley I have owned. I started using an end loaded Dudley that a friend had. It worked ok but I really wanted a balanced bat. I hit pretty well with this right out of the wrapper. I have around a hundred hits with it between games and practice and the pop just keeps improving. The ball jumps off the bat. This is a great bat to improve your hitting confidence.

Dudley Lightning Legend 34in/29oz Balanced
I bought the 34in/29oz Balanced softball bat.It is a one-piece composite bat, has a 13 inch barrel, it is Senior Softball USA (SSUSA) approved, it is certified to the 1.21 BPF standards, and weighs a little less than 2 pounds.The bat was delivered on time and without any damage.My initial impression when I unpacked the bat:- Liked the weight and feel of the bat.- Bat swings smoothly and fluid.- It has a thinner handle which is fine with me since I align the bat to my knuckles when hitting.In my case, the bat was not “out the wrapper” ready (hot). I broke-in the bat myself with 44cor/375com Trump Stote softballs which are the same balls my league uses. It took about 200 hits before I could feel a pop to the bat. Now the bat has a solid feel and sound to it when you connect with the ball. I have not felt any flex or vibration on the bat even when I don’t connect with the ball just right. It does have a large sweet spot, about 6-8 inches in the middle of the barrel, and the balls fly out when hit in the sweet spot. I try to be more of a contact hitter than a power hitter but with this bat, you can be both. This bat is well balanced which allows you to have complete control thorough your swing and it can also generate more than enough mass behind your swing to hit the ball out of the ball park with ease.
