Lumia 950XL case, KuGi ultra-thin PC Hard Case Cover for Microsoft Lumia 950 XL smartphone. (Black)

I was looking for a case to provide good protection for my Lumia 950 XL, and even though I'm normally a holster guy, I thought I'd try this one out based on the all 5 star reviews.Now, the case is very thin, fits well, and does wrap slightly around the screen to protect the glass if you put it face down. I know a lot of folks are looking for just that... the thinnest case you can get; however, since the case is so thin, I was worried that it'd do much if I really did drop my phone. I'm guessing it may avoid some scuffs / scrapes, but it just may not do much in a full on drop.I had also purchased a holster-style case from Amazon ( Microsoft Lumia 950 XL Phone Case , [ Storm Buy ] Premium Hard & Soft Sturdy Durable Shockproof Rugged Shell Hybrid Protective [ Anti Scratch ] Phone Case Cover with Built in Kickstand (Holster Black) ) and while definitely not the thinnest case, it looked like it would provide better protection. Of course, on a phone of this size, I do prefer holsters, so I may be slightly biased. The linked phone case will be my "daily driver". This one will be put into the "spares" pile for now.

This is a great case and exactly what I expected. It's very slim and hardly adds any extra bulk to the phone. It doesn't cover the buttons. It does add a small lip near the buttons that might take some getting used. It's also got a nice texture. It's smooth to the touch with a light grip and won't slide around on a table. I my opinion this is the best case for Lumia 950 XL. Its also the only slim hard case I could find that doesn't cover the buttons.

Nice case that does a really nice job of protecting my phone. And at a reasonable price.

Got almost the same case with good quality of manufacture.

Great fit for 950xl. Little tight on volume buttons but I fault Microsoft for that design decision.

Decent case. Barely noticeable on the phone, but offers decent protection. Wish it had a little more grip and lasted longer than a few months.Edit:Gold version is even worse than black when it comes to quality.Within a month the gold paint wore off on all the corners.I'm taking off 2 stars because I feel that a case should last a little longer.I'm going to pick up a soft TPU case this time to see if its any better.

I was very concerned about this case.I knew it would look good (which it does) but I wasn't sure about actually protecting my phone.This weekend I dropped my phone from waist height on my concrete driveway so I got to find out.I was also using this glass screen protector http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0163L3HIG?refRID=533K2Z7YC6KCWKR998V5&ref_=pd_rhf_ee_p_img_2Based on the damage on the screen protector and scuff mark on the case the phone fell on a corner.The glass protector broke but the phone is 100% fine.I think if it wasn't for the screen protector my phone screen would have cracked so beware.There just isn't enough padding around the phone to protect the screen.So if you want a light weight case that will protect your phone from scratches and body damage this is great.If you want to protect your screen I strongly recommend adding a glass protector or buying a bulkier case all together.

I didn't expect for the case to not go all the way around the phone....didn't like the look and feel and ordered a different one that goes all the way around the phone. Like the look and feel much better. Just a personal preference. This case seems too stiff and hard in my hand, plus the buttons are harder to push in.
