TRESKO Auto Garden Hose Reel 30m + 2m | Wall-Mounted Hose Box | Roll-up Automatic | Wall Bracket, with Quick Release Connectors and Spray Nozzle

The first point of information which I couldn't ascertain before purchase, is that the fittings ARE compatible with standard Hozelock or similar hosepipe connectors.It's a well built hose reel (German engineering!) with what seems so far to be a robust auto coil mechanism. Potentially better built than Hozelock, yet (at time of purchase) around 30% cheaper.The hose and reel itself is quite heavy, so I was concerned that the mount would not be able to take the weight without being pulled from the wall, but all seems fine and secure. The fixings were not the type I have used before and would have required a much thicker drill bit that I have, so I used my own narrower fixings and these seem to be more than adequate.Pulling out the hose from the reel and extending it is slightly heavier work than I would have hoped as the mechanism is so strong, but it is manageable. The instructions provided give hardly any information of how to use, so it takes a bit of trial and error to discover the knack of how to extend the hose and then lock it so it doesn't reel in, and then to retract it when you want to. It's rather like using a roller blind on a window, where a quick sharp tug locks or unlocks the mechanism.The rolling up of the hose after use is a joy to use - especially if you've previously experienced the challenge of winding in a hose on a conventional roller! Highly recommended.

It all round a great water hose

Looks like a good quality product. But both ends of the hose badly crimped in fact flat.probably when boxed up.won't be fitting until summer. Looking forward to using it

I needed a long hose to reach the top of the garden, and this one is ideal. It looks good, pulls out well (although being long and heavy it can need a good prolonged pull). It locks when extended to the length you want, and another tug retracts it. The moving guide ensures that it winds back smoothly. A good buy.

Love the look of this and it works extremely well. Good colour too does fits in well with the garden.

PLEASE NOTE: WARRANTY IS UNDER GERMAN LAWS AND YOU MUST REPORT DEFECT WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF PURCHASE, EVEN IF IT WORKS PERFECTLY FINE UP UNTIL IT BREAKS- LUDICROUS I KNOW!!Poor quality item. I brought in May last year and it has stopped retracting already, rendering it useless.i took photographs and sent them off to Tresko. As you can see clearly, during construction by Tresko they have screwed into the plastic shaft. Over time it has worn away and no longer holds the shaft in place so the spring doesn't connect and pull in the hose. They refused to fix or refund due to there ridiculous warranty and the fact I hadn't notified them within the 6 months of purchase. Utter madness as you wouldn't expect to buy a hose every 7 months. Well I dont anyway!I would highly recommend that you DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!

Fantastic hose. Great quality. Retractable. Highly recommended.

I was pleased with this initially, a robust spring mechanism which used carefully worked well. However, after about four months the retraction mechanism failed completely. All attempts to coax it back into action were unsuccessful and I was left with 30 metres of hose lying on the ground. The distributor required me to return it in the original packaging to Germany and this was not a straightforward task for such a heavy and bulky item. I haven't purchased another one but if they had displayed any sort of sympathy I could have been persuaded.
