Gaiam Metro Gym Bag

Seems to be well made and is very cute. Is definitely on the smaller side for a gym bag, but that's fine with me. If you need to fit everything and the kitchen sink in your gym bag, this will not work for you (shoes + work clothes + shower supplies + water bottle will not all fit). I was hoping this could double as a weekend/overnight bag for me, but it's just a tad too small. No room for shoes!One minor gripe: The small side pockets seem like they're designed to hold a water bottle but they are a little too small--you could fit a very slim disposable bottle of water in each, but not a normal refillable water bottle. Maybe they're for some kind of yoga strap or resistance band? A set of nunchucks, perhaps? However, the interior will fit a lightweight set of clean post-workout duds, flip-flops, the aforementioned water bottle, and some basic shower supplies, which is all I need.On the plus side, I love the color even more in person than I did online. It's much darker, which I'm cool with--I actually thought I had received a black one by mistake at first. The purple lining on the inside is awesome. And for the price I paid, I feel like I got a great deal!

I typically spend a very long time reading reviews before I purchase something. I did this of course with this bag. I wanted something light and stylish, with lots of pockets to keep me organized. I tend to bring way more with me than what is truly required and I was concerned from other reviews that this bag simply wouldn't have enough room. I compared it to the larger Gaiam bag with the sling on the side for the yoga mat. I am lucky in the way that my gym supplies all towels, mats and every toiletry you could imagine so in reality all I really wanted to have room for was a change of clothes (a tank with build in bra, a t shirt, workout pants, socks) a pair of shoes, my water bottle, keys, decent sized wallet and a few other odds and ends. While the two smaller sized pockets are not quite big enough for most water bottles, they do have Velcro and I feel it's a perfect spot for my keys on one side. With the two larger pockets on the outside I keep my wallet and phone (close to my body so I'm not pick pocketed) and the other one has lotion, sanitizer, a compact, gum, Chapstick and plenty of room left. Nothing falls out due to the magnetic clasp. The inside compartment is just the right size to fit my change of clothes, shoes ( I wear a women's 10), my eye glass case, a magazine and my iPad. There is a water bottle pocket on the inside, I use glass bottles with the sleeve and they don't fit in the pocket well however there is still room in the bag. I like how there are two zippers to the main compartment like a backpack. I can wear this bag without running in to people in close spaces. I love it so much I stopped carrying my purse and switching back and forth from this to the purse. I get lots of compliments and this bag doesn't weigh me down. For $15, it's the best bargain. I feel like it's quality and will last. I had an opportunity to see the other bag in person at Kohls and determined it was just to big. It also didn't feel as sturdy as this one. If I was going to swim and workout and bring a change of clothes for after a shower, this bag wouldn't fit it all. The bottom cord can even hold my shoes. This is the best choice as far as I'm concerned and I spent over and hour looking at several different brands and options.

I’ve only had this for a week, but I am loving it. I had previously ordered a (boring) gym bag that turned out to be voluminous and I had to return it. I was afraid the same might happen with this one. I carry a lot of little things with me into or out of the gym and I’m always afraid I’ll drop something. I wanted a small bag. I don’t change my clothes at the gym. Sometimes I wear a sweatshirt in but carry it out.This bag has one small outside pocket at each end with velcro closures. I slip my locker lock into one and my electronic device into the other. There are two outside large flat pockets (with magnetic clasps), one on each side. If it’s cold and I wear gloves to the gym, I can slip them into one flat pocket on the way home when I don’t need them. These pockets won’t accommodate anything too chubby. I slip my earbuds into the opposite pocket although it’s big enough for something larger.There is no outside water bottle holder. (If there had been, I could put more stuff on the inside of the bag, if needed.) There is a bottle pocket on the inside at one end, but it is too small for my Berkey water bottle, and my bottle is too tall to be at the end of the bag anyway (couldn’t zip it closed), so I slip it into one of the interior pockets…there are two interior pockets, one on each side. One pocket is larger than the other; my water bottle fits into the large one, and my phone slips into the smaller one. This leaves the center main compartment. I take two hand towels with me…these fit in the bottom. If I don’t wear my sweatshirt home, I can just stuff it into the remaining space on top of the towels. At this point my bag is pretty well full up. I could possibly add more tiny items but nothing large, like shoes. It is the perfect size for my use.I really like the looks and style…it doesn’t look cheap or boring. It’s almost “fashionable”. The gray is a nice neutral color. The quality seems good; I’ve had no problems with it. It certainly makes getting from home to car to gym, and the reverse, much easier now. Very pleased with this purchase!

I was looking for a gym bag that would stand on its own. I was using a drawstring cinch bag, however I hated that it always fell over and I couldn't find anything in it. It had an outside pocket but no other internal pockets.This bag has multiple internal pockets, one large with elastic which makes it super easy to stash my wallet. I know exactly where it is and it will not fall out if I leave the bag unzipped. There is a internal zipper pocket as well where I put my "feminine" supplies. External pockets holds my phone and headband.In the inside compartment I'm able to fit my shoes, towel, ipad, and resistance bands.Note that a water bottle is not easily stored upright in this bag. Luckily that is not a priority for me.

The first time I saw this bag must have been a few years ago in a high street store. Stupidly I did not buy it straight away and when I returned for it a few weeks later it was no longer there and not available on any of the UK websites. I bought a different, far inferior, bag in the hope that this one would eventually make its return.I was delighted to spot it on Amazon just before Christmas and this time around I did not waste a second on hesitation. The bag is everything I was hoping for and more. It looks stylish and the neutral grey works with most outfits, casual and smart, which is important for me as I often carry it to work. The size is just right for my gym kit: comfortably fits a pair of size six trainers, top and leggings, a sports bra and a towel, with space left for the wash kit (I don't carry one regularly as keep it in my desk, but may be useful to know for others). The outer pockets accommodate a water bottle snugly. I've not tried attaching a yoga mat to it yet.All in all I am truly chuffed with my purchase and will not hesitate to recommend it to others.

spacious bag for the gym to fit all your bits and pieces in. I use mine for Pilates and swimming. The only downside for me, is I wish it had longer handles. Other than that I am very pleased with this smart and useful gym bag.

I wanted a small and compact gym bag and found the choice to be limited. I liked the look of this bag and the price is good. It arrived this morning and I am pleased with it, just big enough for what I want to carry and with a number of useful pockets.I am knocking one star off because the key clip is just a loop (so you need a carabiner or clip on your keys) and i would have liked a choice of colours - a nice teal colour would have been perfect for me.

Bought for my Mum as part of a Christmas present. Plenty of room for her kit and clean clothes. Ability to carry the yoga mat on the bottom and it actually works its not a gimmick!!

I chose this bag because of the colour and it looked roomy. Wasn't disappointed. It has so many different compartments
