Great for the first box of monster cut outs!
Need the usual monsters and creatures for your games? Want to run a combat scenario where the party gets ambushed by a bunch of ogres? This monster box is for you! Now, I'm running D&D 5E games, not Pathfinder, but it doesn't matter. The monsters have a good design and can be used for most monsters in the 5E Monster Manual. There are no dragons, but there are plenty of ratfolk, kobolds, lizardfold, vampires, etc. Great for starting a monster "mini" collection. It's very cost effective for a great product. The paper material used for the monsters is nice and thick. I have no fear of accidental bending. The monsters fit inside the bases easily, and while the bases are not loose, it's also very easy to change the monsters in the bases as you need to. There are different sized bases for different sized monsters, so they will take up the appropriate amount of 1" grid for scale. I do plan on buying more of the Pathfinder Pawns when I need more specialized monsters. The only word of warning I have is to be careful when punching the monster out of the grid they come on. I may have gotten careless and ended up ripping the design on one of my monsters. I won't admit whether alcohol was involved or not (but it was). lol :D

Wonderful, I wish I had purchased this box first!
Holy crap I wish I had gotten this box sooner. If you like the other boxes of Pathfinder Pawns but found yourself thinking "I wish they gave me more than 4 goblins and 2 orcs", then this box is absolutely for you.Of the standard "mook-type" monsters, this box contains over a dozen of every type. Kobolds, Goblins, Orcs, Hobgoblins, Frost Giants, Fire Giants, Trolls, Ratfolk, Drow, Deurgar, Ogres, Bugbears, and the like. There are 4-8 variations of each type of monster, allowing for wonderfully distinct pawns of a similar race on the map at any given time. No need to remind your players that *these* goblins have shortbows while *these* goblins are throwing alchemist's fire. They can see it on the tokens.I can finally attack my party with that Hobgoblin assault force that I've been dreaming up without pulling the particularly brutish NPC Codex pawns and saying "These are hobgoblins, use your imagination". What about that conflict between a tribe of Kobolds and a faction of Goblins? Now you can get your PCs involved and still visually denote which monsters are which! It's so great. As always, the art is absolutely gorgeous on these pawns, and the box and cardboard are the same ultra-high quality. This is hands down my favorite of the Pathfinder Pawns boxes.

Good quality, low price
This product is extremely useful for those wanting miniatures on a budget (it's pennies per pawn). Word of advice: this box does focus on common, humanoid monsters. It is perfect for what it says it is, but one of the bestiary boxes would be better if you wanted a rounded collection.PRO: it has several repeats, so you'll never be short during a goblin ambush or ogre war party. CON: since it is mostly humanoid, you miss out on many animals, vermin, plants, aberrations, and magical beasts.

Simple, cost-effective way to represent monsters on gridded combat mat
The whole collection of cardboard stand-ins for the Pathfinder Monster codex. If you actually use a gridded mat and figs for combat simulation as strongly suggested by the Pathfinder rules, then this is a simple, efficient and cost-effective way to have almost always the proper representations for the monsters you need, at least inasmuch as they are listed in the monster codex which is one of the GM tools I highly recommend.Only 4 stars as keeping them organized is a mess and they might not be as durable as I wish they were, but still a good investment.

Go Pawns!
I'm a big fan of the Pathfinder Pawns series. Great value for the money. This particular set is great if you need an "army" of any of the monsters covered in the Codex.Art is top notch. They're printed on high quality, sturdy cardboard, and are pretty durable. All in all a great product.

Best of the Paizo Pawns
I have all of the boxed sets and some of the Adventure Path sets, and this one is probably the most versatile of the sets if you run a lot of encounters with "standard" monsters. Orcs, goblins, lizard men and the like plus some bigger monsters like giant-class sized. I bought 2 boxes so there will always be small armies I can throw at players.

... encounters in my D&D 5E campaign and they work wonderfully. I will always prefer the metal figures
Use this (and several other Pathfinder Pawns boxes) for combat encounters in my D&D 5E campaign and they work wonderfully. I will always prefer the metal figures, but this is a very cost effective way to get a large quantity of pawns made with very nice art.

Ok for the money but dont expect a lot
The pawns are printed on good cardstock and the images are nice and vivid. Unfortunately the images are shifted up so that with the cuts it chops off chunks of the monsters. You lose hands and wings far too often. With just a little planning and editing these would have been far better. The names of the creatures could have slid down into the bases and given more of the actual monster visible. Seems to be a case of poor planning and execution.

Miniatures that won't break the bank
Bought it as a cost effective miniature replacements. Has a good variety of monsters. The only issue I had quality-wise with this was many of the pictures were cut off when punched out of the cardboard sheet. The pictures themselves feel a little bit weird since it seems like every monster is depicted in it's most epic form. I'm just nitpicking here, but it would have been nice if there wasn't the monsters name written at the bottom of every piece. Either way it's a great product for the price and will help give visuals for your campaign without breaking your bank account.

A great affordable alternative to miniatures
Very solid alternative to minis. The card stock feeds sturdy and the print quality is great. I plan to pick up another box from the Pathfinder Pawn range soon to get some human and heroic figures.

A good quantity of different monsters in a variety of categories
A good quantity of different monsters in a variety of categories. However, there's one important category missing: Undead, in particular Skeletons and Zombies. As these are a staple of nearly all campaigns, it's odd that they're missing. Especially as there's a load of different Ghoul types.

Great for d&d too
Great for our d&d game but some of the monsters could do with being balanced differently as you get a few goblins but lots of drow
