This semi-fermented tea has large curled leaves that are greenish-black in color. Grown in the Southern Mountains of China’s Fujian Province, it produces a lively infusion with a very pleasing taste. The tea falls between a green tea and a black tea, as it is only partially oxidized (fermented). Its flavor is uniquely its own – neither as sweet as a black tea nor as grassy as a green tea. The Chinese word “oolong” means “black dragon.” Origin: China This tea is sold loose leaf, meaning it will not arrive packed in tea bags.

Oolong you can afford to drink every day!
This tea is fantastic. It smells great, looks great, and you get a lot of it. I like the packaging and the easy instructions. Tattle Tea has done a really nice job, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy other varieties from them.Wanted to try drinking Oolong regularly since I can't stomach green tea, and though I like black tea I much prefer it with milk and sugar. I also wanted something I could drink throughout the day without feeling like I might have an anxiety attack from all the caffeine. This tea can be steeped several times, and each time the flavor changes slightly. It also cuts down on the amount of caffeine you're drinking as a result.I currently use a Medium Finum Brewing Basket and set the basket into a second coffee mug off to the side. Once I've finished my first cup, I refill with near-boiling water and steep a second time. I like how much room these leaves have to expand in the basket. (Which they will do, these are rolled up and unfurl as they are steeped.)Highly recommend this product. I don't have a wide experience with the many many kinds of Oolong, so I can't say how it compares to other types and brands. I do drink a lot of tea though, and this has become my favorite overnight. If you're looking for Oolong that you won't feel guilty about drinking every day, buy this, you won't regret it!

Not to my taste.
Bought it over a year ago. Today, I've finally broken down and tossed a nearly full bag.I've tried to enjoy a cup hot and my original expectation of iced, but I just could never finish a cup. It just had an odd taste to it that I couldn't place or mask even when I broke down and added a little honey (an atrocity to any Oolong).I just can't recommend this, though that maybe due to the fact I've been spoiled when it comes to Oolong from my grandparents and parents. Or probably due to the fact I'm more used to the Taiwan variants rather then the Chinese ones.

Great deep flavor for a great price!!
I was skeptical at first, buying 2 pounds of tea, in bulk, for this price?? Too good to be true. I was wrong. Upon tasting this tea, I noticed how deep of a flavor it harbors. My wife even loves this tea. It'll steep three separate times, if not four. Since my wife likes this tea, she has started drinking all sorts of tea with me. She learns the health benefits and is a firm believer in the usefulness of the tea, just like I do! With the bulk of 2 pounds, we will be enjoying this tea for a long time!! Thanks Tattle tea

A Fine, Light Oolong
This is a fine blend of teas, but it only got three stars from me because it is not the hearty, smoky Oolong of my dreams. And that means my long search must continue. After I tried this one I gave it to my niece's BF, a life long tea drinker, and he loved it. Or he said he did, because it was a gift. None the less, if you are looking for a light Oolong, like you have had in an Asian restaurant, try this one. It is a fine tea, just not the droid I was looking for.

... try this bulk package since the price was really good. For the price this is surprisingly good Oolong ...
I thought I'd try this bulk package since the price was really good. For the price this is surprisingly good Oolong Tea. It's not very strong, more in the middle. The leaves are of very good quality. I would definitely buy again whenever I run out...will be a while though.

Not very good
I have drank alot of oolong tea and this doesn't taste like any oolong I have had before, its bitter and tastes bland. I tried to make it four times each with more or less and steeping for longer and shorter, no change. There is better oolong than this.
