It's Not Even 3 STARS- Terrible!
I loved Terri Woods Dutch 1,2, and 3. I read all the reviews on this and it paled when compared to those 3. I ordered the paperback from Amazon-and here is what I noticed. Woods character development of the main character is very poor and she wastes too much time on seemingly un related events. There really is no story line. The story itself is about a run-away paid witness stripper lady who is tasked with providing an "ALIBI." Woods could have developed this character. There is a lot of good material to work with if she had done her homework. Being a real Philly girl myself and having a family member whom was an "Exotic Entertainer" gave me a very critical view. I also have knowledge of the 25th and Somerset area of North Philadelphia where the crime takes place. She was lacking in development to give the reader a clearer picture of what the mind frame of the murderous character the witness is providing the alibi for.Sorry Teri, this is trash- I'm so disappointed.....

disappointed
This story was not good whatsoever, seemed poorly written, the main character was beyond dumb, there was too much going on and just not interesting. Most of the book is told in narrative but then a line would be thrown in like the author is talking directly to the reader. So the style I didn't like at all. Then the characters, Daisy couldn't by a clue and she had no real personality other than being clueless. Just didn't seem like a well thought out story at all. She is paid to provide an alibi before Nard is even considered as a suspect, Nard is relying on a alibi when in actuality he had a strong case for self defense. Sticks character, didn't know where she wanted to go withhim.. No one was really developed. Forced to finish because i paid for it but very disappointed considering True to the Game was so good, the first one. But the other two i didn't like due to impossible storyline with the doctor deciding to fake a patients death and secretly nurse back to health..

Alibi part I
I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters that a 5 star-rating is justified for a Teri Woods novel. The desperation of the main female character and the disrespect of the majority of male characters are very engaging. This is story at times is funny, shocking & a must read.

Not as good as the other novels
It was ok but I have to say Teri’s other books are far more interesting and a far better read..couldn’t really connect with the Daisy character she was hot and cold and seemed a little challenging at times. I will read part 2 only because I have too complete the series

I was a little disappointed with this book. I guess I was expecting Teri Woods to produce quailty work like she have done so many times before. It was a very fast paced read that went back and forth with the characters. One couldn't really fall into the mindset. I really wish Ms. Woods would focus more on the sequences to her previous three novels that are fans have been waiting on for so more than two years!

It was mediocre
It was okay... while I'm not a an expert on writing style I can speak on content. It wasn't a page turner and at times reading the book I found myself taking a break. I felt so sorry for the main character Daisy she was young , naive and constantly used over and over again. It seemed as though she never got a break not until the very end and by that time I wanted the book to end.
