Top Value for sure - and GREAT product !
Over the past 5 months I have become a enthusiast "Pit Barrel Master" - which is a fabulous American made barrel smoker - and going into winter where smoker/grill times get thrown off a bit by the lower temperatures and windier weather - I researched and bought the ThermoPro TP-11.You get the Transmitter unit with the detachable probe - and the Transmitter with ultra-large LCD display - you even get 4 double-A batteries in the package to start up both units as soon as your ThermoPro arrives in from Amazon - a nice touch !A exceptional value for the price - if you are looking at remote thermometers - the ThermoPro Receiver has a ultra-large LCD which is illuminated - and the illumination feature gives you fantastic readability 24/7 indoors for the ultra-large LCD display - very easy to read and as noted on other reviews the other GREAT thing about the illuminated Receiver display is when the alarm rings at set temp or set time - the display lights up red in addition to the loud beep-beep - awesome !The Transmitter has a rotating rear spring holder if you want to clip it to your grill handles - that spring holder rotates 360 degree's for ez mounting in any position - to install the batteries in the Receiver you rotate the spring clip up out of the way of the bottom back battery cover - the Receiver battery covers come up by simply pulling up on the very bottom edge of the cover - no screwdriver or extra sweat - comes up and off - 2 AA's go in - and battery cover snaps back in easily. The Receiver batteries go in as easily - the Receiver battery cover slides down off the bottom - 2 AA's go in there - and the receiver battery cover slips right back on - no sweat !Now - the Transmitter has one button "on" - and the remote probe needs to be plugged into the side of the unit to have a temp signal to send to the Receiver. The Receiver is a single button on - and whether setting by Temp or Time - the Receiver is simple and intuitive to set. Both the Transmitter and Receiver are well made - impact resistant plastic - and so far for my 1st 3 cooks - the 1st cook I started up in 5 minutes after receiving the ThermoPro - all has been GREAT - and accuracy has been EXCELLENT within 1 degree from my $110 instant read LCD pro chef's pen from France.Distance has been GREAT - my BBQ patio on the backside of my house is over 130' from my office/man-cave - and absolutely no problem for me with the ThermoPro - for wi-fi/hi-fi back to the same patio area I had to have over $400 in extra wi-fi/extender gear installed to cover that same distance - the ThermoPro covers the same distance like a Champ !HIGHLY recommended - for the Price - Top Value for sure !Keep the beat !

Thermometer 2: Cooking Day
Short version: I love this, buy it, it's ace and will make you hit with the ladies.Longer version:I bought this thermometer after a different one helped me screw up what should have been a perfect British Sunday Roast (which is nigh on impossible to find here in the US and A). I could go on and on about the failings of my last thermometer (which I sent to small gadget hell with a swift kick and enough swearing to scare the neighbors cat), but I'll list the main features in this one that I really like:1. Ease of Use - Let's face facts here people, most guys will not read the instructions. We'll toss the instructions, fiddle around trying to figure out how to install the batteries, retrieve said instructions from the trash, install the batteries, throw instructions back into the trash, and start using the thermometer on our first meal. We'll figure out how it works by jamming a bunch of buttons until we see a number we like and maybe a beep or a flashing light here and there. It took me all of 30 seconds to get this puppy running, and that's about as good as you can get for usability for a guy.2. Temperature Units - Super easy to switch between Celsius (I was always spell this word wrong) and Fahrenheit (yet somehow always get this one right, weird).3. Wireless - This wasn't even on my radar for a must have when looking to purchase a new thermometer, but quickly became my favorite part of this particular thermometer. I was able to cook a perfectly rare boneless ribeye using this thermometer and the reverse sear method while watching a movie. That said I'm sure you could use it while doing other things, as long as you're in range, such as playing tennis, berating your neighbor, mowing the lawn, and even standing on the roof of your house practicing your sweet Gangnam Style moves for the office talent show.4. Flashy Lights - Ok this part could have gone either way, but I'm gonna give it some praise. The color of the light changed as the temperature got closer to what I had set and even started flashing red when it hit the set temperature, super eye-catching and useful. I would like to be able to set the frequency though (which in all fairness I might be able to do, but as we know I haven't read the manual).I haven't used it for grilling yet as I haven't got my grill set up (I know, I'm a bad man, please don't take away my man card), but have used it to make the most perfect reverse seared steak in a good old-fashioned (and I mean old) kitchen oven. See the photo on the review for how perfectly rare (anything above rare and there's something wrong with you, medium-rare is acceptable when you don't trust the cook) the steak was throughout. You can't get a steak that perfectly cooked without using a sous-vide or this method. This thermometer is much cheaper than a sous-vide and you'll be able to use it for a ton of other things. However, I'd advise against checking your own temperature with it.. gross..
