The wind picked up very quickly at the beach and being my first time using it, I didn’t want it to turn inside out and break like other brands I’ve had. Being alone, I tried to straighten it upward because it was tilted. Wrong move~especially because the button is flush on the metal pole is very hard to push in (hoping with use this becomes easier).I should have closed it first and then struggled with straightening it. Even though it was deep in sand the low wind swept it loose and out of the sand. I found myself holding on with all my might feeling like I was about to be taken for a ride. It inverted anyways. Yelling to my 10 yo granddaughter jumping ocean waves to come help went unnoticed as well as the 20 ppl just watching me about to be blown away. I definitely was looking out for others being hit and if I had let it go someone would have been hurt. Embarrassed and kinda mad that ppl are unwilling to help and probably laughing, I pulled my thoughts together and undid the two pieces. With less pressure now I was able to pull the top back into position. Expecting it to be bent or ripped and finding it wasn’t was a relief. I am so thankful the quality of this umbrella is well made. No tears, no bends, and it worked beautifully the next day.I would make one suggestion though. Please add paper instructions with the product not just a barcode to scan on the box. I did not have internet service on vacation and yes it’s just an umbrella that goes up and down, however, I and I am sure others would read or at least skim the product’s written information. Perhaps a few tips or even pictures reminding step 1, step 2, etc. There’s bound to be a person who never used an umbrella. It does seem silly even to me but honestly I am a strong lean athletic person and thought I was going to be lifted of the blanket. The black and blues on my thigh and right bicep obviously proves how hard I held on.It was crazy to notice nobody else was bothered by this quick all of a sudden low wind that swept over and through my space during a time of complete rest and relaxation. On another note, having the sand screw made into bottom pole and the chain fastened metal handle works swell.The size is perfect and the royal blue with the big white flower on the inside is very pretty.

Beautiful, lightweight beach umbrella. Very easy to carry around and instantly install on the beach. The built-in sand screw is very effective and the tilt feature is useful. The blue umbrella looks great and comes with a nice carrying case. I would strongly recommend it. This is the first time we’re using it. Let’s see how long it lasts.

I've had the umbrella for 2 years, using it a fair amount until this summer. This summer I spent the entire summer camping at various campsites where this umbrella was set up and put down over and over again. It lasted through some tremendous winds on the coast and because I was using the tilt option all the time, one of the screws came out and it is semi busted. Meaning that it won't stand straight up just tilts all the time. I would say for the money I paid for this, and the enormous amount of times it was set up and taken down, went through wind rain and storms, it was well worth the price, even though it's semi broken right now. I would buy again.

We have a 6ft version and love it. This seems to be just as great. We use in in sand at the beach.

This umbrella is great! We needed one to replace our old one that got damaged in a storm, and this one fits the bill. I love that it tilts to help capture the shade at all times of day. Easy to set up and put away. We have not tried it at the beach, but it fits in our old stand and is very sturdy.
