Wouldn’t keep it if it was for free
I’ve no idea what the other reviewers are talking about because I am surprised that this thing is being sold at all!Definitely not suitable for cutting branches - it was like attempting to carve Christmas turkey with a plastic spoon.About an inch thick branch (Buxus plant shrub plant fence) couldn’t be cut through, got to about half way when I gave up — heavy vibrating of everything almost brought on an epileptic fit from what was blurring into one in front of my eyes, arms starting to lose feeling, teeth rattling away. It’s truly an abysmal piece of equipment being sold to an unsuspecting public.I ended up taking my rusty hand saw — it was quicker, much easier, and no potential injury. The cutter made me think that the branches are too soaked with rain water or something that they’re impossible to cut, but the £9 handsaw (also bought from Amazon, survived several rain showers just outside the shed & is now covered in rust) cut through with such ease that you’d think it was a hot knife going through butter.Avoid, avoid, avoid.I don’t want to badmouth China, seeing as a lot of stuff is produced there, but this Chinese company & invention is just dire. Wouldn’t keep it if it was for free.Because they’d said it so beautifully and 100% echo my own experience, I’ll quote what someone else had said about a similar product from the same company:“My goodness, I didn't expect it to be silent but neither was I expecting a bold imitation of a pneumatic road drill! And despite all that weight and noise it is slower than a good hand saw. So I put it back into it's robust case and put it away, I shall never use it again.”

Really very useful: I've tried both small and big branches
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I was a bit hesitating as I read some 1* reviews but it was a lightning deal and I know, albeit not well known, TACKLIFE is making quality products! Bought it and not let down.I'm not aware what happened to 1* reviewers, but as seen in the video, I've no problem to prune my big plum tree, small twigs and thick ones up to 2 inches! look "how well it worked and how well it fitted in my hand for 1 handed use when reaching to cut a branches“. In terms of battery life, I had no problem to prune the whole plum true, say at least 40 branches, small and big. I then tried to use it to prune another dead tree!Of course it could be used for many other jobs as a reciprocating saw. One tip though, when cutting thick branches, do not cut it all the way through, just move around a little bit and your cutting could be much much easier!Keyless clamp ensures fast and easy blade changes - fairly easy by twisting and it holds firmly hence no safety concern. In addition, you need to push two buttons to turn the saw on: easy and safe, and avoiding unnecessary waste of battery.Negatives? It could be better with a solid carrying case; it could be better to come with a few more blades for different jobs. Maybe someone requires additional batteries, but for home use, you don't need hours cutting in single job, do you? I'm happy I don't need to find a place for additional batteries.Surprisingly robust, really powerful and fairly easy with one hand! Great value for money and highly recommended!

Battery safety cut out every 10 minutes - not for continuous cutting
I believe the saw has a design that will cause the battery to overheat and stop working after 10 minutes of heavy/continuous use. According to the manual (and what I have done) taking the battery out (its quite hot) of the unit for a short while sorts it.Just letting you know its not for continuous useALSO its extremely tricky to get a second battery to swap it out, I couldn't find a compatible replacement

Super Small Reciprocating Saw !!!
I have no idea why bears, (Ist review) is so stupid !!!! When you cut an inch thick branch you need to push the branch to keep the cut open, otherwise the sawblade will jam. This happens with a chainsaw, that's why they cut a "V" in the branch. This is a brilliant little saw !!! I have a large mains Reciprocating Saw, and Four Chainsaws so I know about cutting wood !!! If you want to cut a thick branch you need to put a drop of vegetable oil on the branch where you want to cut it. All chainsaws need oil to cut properly, so this little saw needs some as well !!!! If the blade jams the branch will shake and the saw will make an awful noise and vibrate like mad !!!! This saw takes the standard blades that the full size ones do. So you can buy 5 metal cutting blades for about £6. I am very pleased with this small saw. The full size ones are huge and very heavy. I wanted this saw for cutting metal bolts and screws and cutting bits off sheet metal !!! I think it's a Super Saw !!!

Tack life reciprocating saw review
Well made tool. Easy to use with one hand. Really limited to branches up to two inches thick otherwise battery life very short.Useful to buy a selection of additional saw blades.

Great cutting value
The instruction book reads as if it is a saw for cutting tree branches, and it does come with a branch clamp. However, I use it as a diy tool for cutting ordinary pieces of wood with no problem. Compact and easy to use single handed. Very easy blade change. Comes with only a wood cutting blade, but accepts all standard blades.

Good value and quality
Looked at the reviews as this was very cheap, but surprised how well it worked and how well it fitted in my hand for 1 handed use when reaching to cut a branches. Used on all sorts of jobs, a lot more than I thought I would and has performed flawlessly.
