URIT-12 TEST STRIPS 50pcs

These strips do not come with a code chip for the meter, and therefore give back an Er 4 message that the strips are defective, because the code on the strips does not match the code in the meter. There is no way to change the code in the meter without the chip, and the strips did not come with a chip. Totally useless strips.

I am rating this 2 stars because it was highly inaccurate. I did 10 tests on the same day using the same technique and the hemoglobin results ranged from 7.4 to 12.1. Most of the results showed a 9.4 - 9.6, but the lab tests I had done at the doctor (one the same day) showed I had an actual hemoglobin of 11. I am a chemist and have a lot of experience working with analytical equipment and I can say with certainty that this machine would not pass quality control checks.

Why the heck are these things so expensive? My machine continues to test all over the place. Even doing two tests on the same spot comes out with readings 4 points difference! I will use these fifty strips up and then use the machine as a target at the range. Maybe I will use it as a clay bird.This is the last machine I will purchase. I will put up with visiting the hospital every four weeks. At least their readings are reasonably accurate. Chagrined! quizzed

Take some trials to get consistent readings, but then it gives good indications on the hemoglobin level.

Good product arrived on time

URIT-12 test meter is NOT accurate so I assume these contribute. I cannot in good faith recommend these knowing the machine is NOT accurate.
