Fourth cover, may be the charm
I'd give this four and a half stars if I could. Why not 5? I love the lake blue color but am not keen on the design of the cover. I'd prefer something plain. I chose it because I liked it better than the other designs for this case.I prefer the feel of this cover to that of the other three covers I've used. It has a pleasant rubbery/silicone-y feel with a pebbly texture. It's not sticky or gummy. I'm hoping that the edge relaxes a bit so that the top cover completely covers the lip of the back cover when closed (there's just a tiny bit of the lip showing unless I'm careful to shove the top over). The top cover is fairly thin (in a good way, not flimsy) and the edge is thin but not sharp. Getting the Oasis into the back shell was very easy. I may finally start using this Oasis again, after abandoning it for my original smaller Oasis.I had the original Amazon fabric cover for this Oasis but hated the harsh feel and how easily the cover detached from the Oasis for no reason. I also didn't like the feel of the bare metal over the battery hump.Second case was a slim shell case from a popular case manufacturer. I liked that it covered the battery hump, but the edge of the front cover was uncomfortably, annoyingly sharp. It wasn't sharp enough to cut, but it bothered me.Third case was a quality leather (maybe "leather"?) slim shell case. The purple color was beautiful and the front cover edge wasn't thin and sharp, but the puffiness of the front cover really bugged me. I tried to get used to that cover but that's when I went back to my original Oasis. My favorite shell-cover systems are the ridiculously expensive silicone back cover and front cover for the fruity tablets. While this case is textured, it still feels close enough to those that I think that I will be much happier with it than with the three previous cases.

An Improvement over Moko
I bought a Moko case in September. A few days ago, I knocked my Oasis in the Moko case to the floor. When I picked it up, I found that part of the hard plastic protective corner had broken off. So, it did its job protecting the device, but enough was broken to make me fear the Oasis might fall out. Moreover, its ability to protect was hindered. So, I ordered the Ayotu case. The fact that it is silicone was a selling point since silicone is pliable and thus less likely to shatter than hard plastic. Moreover, it can have a bounce to it as well as being a bit tacky so less likely to slip out of my pocket or hands. One of the reviews of these cases complained that it's difficult to open. I don't find it difficult, I just find that it does an excellent job enveloping my device in a way that makes it less likely to open in a fall. I like the design I picked. The Moko back could more easily be bent to prop up the kindle when I was reading, but it also slipped on a hard surface - not an advantage. The Ayotu is still stiff, but the fact that it's silicone makes me hope that when it eases a bit that it will not slip when I try to prop it up by bending the cover backwards to read. All in all, I give this cover a top rating!

Perfect for my use; precision made for CLOSE fit
I'd actually give 4.5 stars if I could, so I opted for the 5 as it is definitely worth more than 4. Why not a perfect 5? It fits my Oasis and works exactly as promised, so is exactly what I needed. BUT getting the Oasis into the back is quite the chore and it needs one small thing to make it easier to open. Once in the case, it appears like it still isn't in all the way, but I'm assuming that is how it is supposed to be because it seems secure. The face cover has strong magnets and matches up with the back/Oasis perfectly... so perfectly, in fact, that it's a wee bit difficult to get it open! A small ribbon loop on the edge would be a great addition to this to help open it, but I'm guessing that over time, the edge will get roughed up enough to make it easier for me. Or I might hot glue a small ribbon or something to the top (a safety pin through the edge *might* even work). I like to carry my Oasis with me in my purse, but I don't want it scratched up, nor do I want it to be bulky (either in my purse or when using). This case adds very little to the Oasis while making it easier to hold and protecting it in my bags. I would heartily recommend it as long as the person doesn't have dexterity or fine motor skills issues which could make opening it extremely frustrating without some sort of modification.

Why is it so hard to open?
The media could not be loaded. The way the cover is made makes it really difficult for you to open it. It is not long enough to have any sort of edge that you can grab or push in order to open it to read. I have to either insert one of my fingernails along the top or bottom edge, or along the "spine" side of the cover in order to grab the top part of the cover enough to disengage the magnet and open the cover to read. It's not a major problem but it is mildly infuriating every time I have to open it. The texture also starts to feel slick very quickly unless your hands are too cold to trap any sort of heat/moisture. The picture is cute. Also the cover doesn't fit well enough or the inner cut-out is not deep enough, but picking up the kindle causes the cover to press the page turn buttons all the time, making an audible clicking noise. Not sure if it wastes power or not though but it can't be good for the buttons overall.

Exactly as described
The outside of the case is made from coarse fabric, which makes it very easy to grip the kindle when you're reading it. I personally think the grey colour looks fantastic. Took a bit of force to get the kindle to go into the case, but that's not a bad thing, as once it's in, the kindle doesn't shift about and is solidly in place. The inside of the lid is made of a soft touch fabric, which sort of feels velvety. Opening the case wakes the kindle from sleep and closing the case causes the kindle to sleep. Exactly as advertised. The only complaints I have aren't really the cases fault. The case, whilst being fairly thin, pretty much doubles the kindle's weight. Which sucks, as I loved how light the kindle oasis is without the case. But it's still pretty light, even with the case. The second complaint I have is that the groove at the back is perfect for holding one handed, but once you open the case and move the lid around to the back you lose the groove. Again, sucks, but not limited to this case, and I don't think there's anything they could do about it, so can't really complain.Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely buy again.

Nice looking case that fits well
This is a nice looking case that fits the Kindle Oasis well. I got the dark grey fabric cover. The front is stiff and should protect the screen well, the inside surface is covered with a soft fuzzy material. The rear is made from firm but flexible plastic, it is firm enough to protect the Kindle but slightly flexible so that it doesn't break if it is bent. The outer cover is made from a woven material that improves the grip on the Oasis making it less slippery. Opening and closing the cover turns the Oasis on and off. The inside of the front cover has an indentation to allow space for the two page turn buttons. Magnets keep the front cover closed, and since the front cover doesn't overlap the rear of the case you need to use your fingernails to open the cover, this is the only minor issue I have with it.

Best kindle oasis cover yet!
This is the best cover I’ve had. It may be fabric but it has a sort of wipeable coating, at least mine wipes clean. It’s lightweight, holds the kindle perfectly, the rubber casing is excellent as my2 previous covers cracked on the corner, no way this will crack! It’s comfortable to hold and is less slippery than other cases. It shuts down the kindle on closing. In my opinion it’s the best cover yet! Highly recommended!

Pretty and functional
This is the second case I buy for my Oasis after the first one - of a different make - cracked in all four corners without much impact. This one however, I would strongly recommend. The parts holding the device are a soft rubbery material rather than hard plastic, so it's easy to put on and remove and holds the device securely. It has fallen off a table a couple of times without issues so I feel confident it will protect the device well if dropped when out and about. Well worth the price, and its pretty too, with a canvas like feel.

C-Library.... Excellent
I bought this as I liked the Library picture but was not sure how good it would be but I have to say it fits well and looks good on the Kindle, easy to put the Kindle in and remove it and not too heavy. I usually like to ready my kindle without a case but my criticism of the new Oasis 9th generation is the back is slippy so you need a case or you are in danger of dropping it. I highly recommend this case
