This sluice Fox is amazing. Its my first sluice but I did a lot of research on how to set and run a sluice box. one and a half hours of sluicing and came up with 60 to 70 tiny flakes of flour gold. this thing catches everything!! I tested all my tailings and didn't find one spec of gold. once you have it set right, all there is to do is feed it gold! super easy to do a clean out takes maybe 10 to 15 mins tops. and the fact that it catches the flour gold is perfect since that's about all we have in my state. Don't make the mistake in passing on this sluice. It also fits in my hiking backpack no problem. I read reviews saying you need to use 1/4 or smaller classifer, FALSE!!! I use 1/2 that came with my pan and this sluice has no problem running, just have to have it set right!! for this price what do you have to lose? Buy IT!!

If your just starting out and can't afford an aluminum sluice or neeb a small sluice for backpacking in to those hard to reach places. The fox is light weight and compact but not to small that it can't take a shovel full of dirt. Easily fits in a large pack or just carry with you. NOW A WARNING TO YOU ALL! This was not forged in the mountains of mordor by Dwarfs its plastic, very strong plastic but it may not line up perfectly. But with some know how and a heat gun you can fix any misalignment. These miner imperfections won't stop you from finding gold plus you paid half of what a big sluice cost so settle down. Now as for the riffle clips a lot of folks seem to be having trouble with getting them out. By holding each side of the sluice just above the clips and pulling outword (see picture) they'll come right out and if you do some how brake the clamp Amazon has replacement ones. Over all this is a good little sluice.

For the price you can't really argue too much about its quality. It works, although you can sluice with just about anything to be fair. Its lightweight easy to use and pretty much foolproof to setup. Its downsides are mainly due to being a plastic sluice. There will likely be some warpage to the unit you buy but a simple nut and bolt can flatten the flare to box warp pretty simple and a little silicone will patch up the small crack that is formed when you put the flare on the box. An absolute must is to file off the titties that hold the riffles down in your box, theyre fit in so tight that you nearly break them to remove the miners moss. Simply sand down or cut off a good portion of those clips and then you can easily remove the moss amd riffles without worrying about breakage. All in all its pretty hard to beat the price to performance ratio here but a little DIY improvement goes a long way

Works great. Gold drops right where should be. So much lighter than my other sluice. So glad I purchased this. Also, half the price of my other sluice. Highly recommend this product.

Could of been a nice product even though It's plastic! rocks tumbling over it will start to have a toll. But it's light weight and easy to make it longer with add on parts. Even though the connection points are back wards from what they should be to prevent leaks. Someone didn't pay much attention to the blue prints before putting this into production. Shame shame. SluiceFox did you get in hurry or did China mess this up ?Tell the truth! Next time double check the prints and made in USA please! American plastic is better just like American metal is by far better quality. That's just facts, That's why everything now days is a throw away item, it's all made in China. And sadly in three or four years this will be in the recycle can. I bet if it was made in the USA I would get 10 years. But be sure to note I will not buy again unless made in the USA. Because for this kind of money it should last longer and be better in everyway. But someone sent the plans to a nation that don't believe in copy rights, you will soon be seeing the knock off for a cheaper price. And it will last just as long as this one believe in that! Oh and the knock off will most likely be right and not backwards like this one. Shame shame. :(This last part is for SliceFox Quality over quantity if you want to have a good name that will keep you richer over fast money that will not last long. because in 5 years no one will remember you. And no one will buy more of your high priced products when we can just wait a year for the cheaper knock off. ): PS I am going to rubber coat mine that might get me two more years before I toss out.

This three piece plastic sluice was much easier to set-up and retained the micro sized gold particles in my claim. I have a four piece aluminum unit that I have fought with several times and I like this one much better.
