Nexus 5X Case, Ringke [Slim] Extreme Lightweight & Thin Cover w/ Screen Protector [Snug-Fit] Side to Side Edge Coverage Scratch Resistant Superior Coating PC Hard Skin for Google Nexus 5X - Mint

I was looking for a very cheap case for my phone in a cute color, and that's exactly what I got. For approximately $10, how can anyone complain about this case? I've had mine for about a year now and it's held up great. I have a scratch on the case on one of the thin sides, but it was totally my fault for dropping my phone on concrete. Besides, my phone has stayed perfectly safe inside this case since Day 1 (knock on wood). If I ever do bang up my case, I imagine I'll be back to buy another one of these. Have I mentioned how cute the teal color is? Because I LOVE it.

This case fits nicely, and is indeed quite slim. It looks nice on the phone, and all ports are exposed as they should. The feel is fairly slick, but no more than the naked phone would be. My main complaint for this case which prevents a perfect score is that it provides very minimal cushion to protect from a fall. This is how they get away with keeping it so slim of course, so that is a trade off. The case does a wonderful job protecting from scratches and the like but will likely not do much to protect your phone should you experiance a hard fall. Perhaps this is a bit of a moot point, but for my needs I would like to have at least a little more protection in this area.Each corner of this case has a slit/crack - this is by design and not a flaw, but seemed a bit odd to me, that said it holds on the phone quite nicely and this is not really a problem.Overall Im rather happy with this purchase, I am not sure it will be my daily driver case for the reasons I listed above, but I would still recommend it if someones main concern was finding the slimmest possible case that looks good and fits well.

Love this case. I originally bought a Spigen case for my Nexus 5x but the slippery material and the fact that the case did not cover the top and bottom were deal breakers and I ended up selling it. I decided to get a Ringke case and am so happy that I did. This case is even thinner in terms of fit compared to the Spigen (though that means it's not as tough of a case) and the case protects all sides of the phone. The phone snaps in perfectly and really doesn't add any bulk. The case came with a screen protector which was great, but I had already bought matte screen protectors. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this Ringke case.

UPDATE: About 6 months of use and several bigger falls later - including one that pinwheeled down a carpeted flight of stairs - and one of the corners broke off. I also noticed that the smooth finish made it easy for my phone to fall out of my pocket. I think I'll be repurchasing this case and applying some DIY non-stick solution like hot glue in strategic places.This case is everything I wanted it to be. I love seeing the soothing shade of mint when I reach for my phone. It's the color I hoped my "Ice Blue" Nexus 5X would be :) The thin profile and smooth texture of the plastic feels nice and sturdy in my hands. I've dropped my phone on the carpet from waist high, and a couple drops onto tile flooring from about knee height; the case kept my phone safe each time. The case fits perfectly and the buttons are easily accessible. I'm happy!

This case really covers all the side of the phone including the corners, and is thin enough that it doesn't add any bulk. The corner opening allow it to flex slightly if dropped so less of the impact is passed through to the phone inside. The cutouts are accurate and the headphone port will accept larger headphone inputs as well. The only downside is that the open corners of the case may catch on mesh liners of pockets (such as those in fishing pants) once in a while, which really is a non-issue.Update: Downgrading to a 3 star rating for the following reason - I've been using the case without issue for a few months now. I haven't dropped the phone, and only removed the case 3-4 times. Within this time, stress fractures and cracks have developed along the side of the case with the button holes. While I won't be testing it to see if they will break through completely if dropped, this worries me as the longevity of the case seems to be lacking. Trying to get contact information for Ringke just redirects to the Ringke website, which currently fails to load.

Ended up buying two of these for family members. The screen protector is separate and it's also the standard stick and apply type, so make sure you clean the screen properly and there's no dust flying around before you try to apply it.The case is a thin hardshell and is best for light drops, avoiding scratches/dings, and making your phone look pretty. It doesn't cover up any ports, and there are no functionality issues due to it either.

I bought two cases, black and mint for my wife's Nexus 5X and mine. Overall, I'm generally satisfied with the purchases.Details are below:Fitting: Flawless.Slippery: I'm satisfied with the black case, but don't like the feel of the mint one. While it's maintaining the same perfect fit as the black case does, it seems to be slippery, which is why I deduct 1 star out of 5. I initially bought the black case, and then bought the mint one because I liked the black one. I expected the same exact material beside colors, which turned out to be not true. This was a let down for me.Screen protector: I don't like them at all. But I wouldn't take out a star because they came with complimentary.Rating: 5 star for the black case, 2.5ish star for the mint. A bit below 4-star overall.

I liked the included screen protector. It went on super easy without any bubbles. However it really shows fingerprints. The case is thin, but isn't really anything special. I don't think it will stand up to any major drops, but it will protect it from scratches. There is a tiny lip around the edge that should protect the screen when you put the phone face down. I'll likely get another case, but for now it works fine. Fits right and has all the right cutouts.

This case is true to description, and protects my phone well. I love that it is thin and doesn't make my phone bulky, and that it is a hard shell. The free screen protector was great as well.The only downfall is the corners. There are slits on all four corners and, if you're like me and drop your phone fairly often, eventually a crack in the case or piece of the corner can come off.Otherwise, the case does well and I would order another one.

I received this item quickly in the mail. It came with a screen protector as well however, it did not include anything to get the air bubbles of the plastic cover. Also the case scratched in 7 days and I'm not sure what it even touched as I did not drop the phone or leave it on pavement or anything abrasive. I do like the colour though.

I love my case, and the add wrist strap hole is great so I don't feel like dropping my phone when I go for those risky photos.

exactly the colour I want, great quality, the corners are designed so that it would be broke even being bent..Also protects the screen very well! My phone once dropped from 1.5m to floor and not damaged at all!!

Plastic around button cutouts broke early on.
