Great air fryer
I haven't had this air fryer long, yet have cooked "hard-boiled eggs" to perfection, made po' boy sandwiches, and am currently cooking pork chops, which are my first big attempt at a meal. This particular air fryer is only big enough for two large chops at a time, so I let my husband try them out first. He reports they are tender and delicious. Mine are cooking now, with the time set at about 10 minutes longer, since I like most food really well done.I chose this particular brand because I have a hot chocolate frother made by Secura and love it. It was also on sale at a great price, so I wouldn't be out too much money, even if it ended up on a shelf like that pot that is supposed to make everything. This is a fairly big machine, but doesn't have that big of a footprint. I returned one from another brand (my fault, should have measured) because it was too large. Plus, it had no instructions. The Secura comes with instructions that are easy enough and a few basic recipes to get you started. I have since found so many helpful online videos and numerous recipes I want to try. I can't wait to make French fries and onion rings.I would recommend using oven mitts or something else to protect your hands from the heat, since I've already burned a finger today.I like this air fryer so much that I plan to buy a toaster oven style, too. I don't think that Secura makes that type, which is a bit of a disappointment, but maybe they will in the future. So far, I haven't found any cons about this machine. My co-workers both have different brands of air fryers and cook in them daily. I never thought anything could replace my big oven, but this is a real contender.

Great deal!
It is really roomy, easy to clean, and makes amazing meals!! I was surprised at how big it was compared to the pictures.

How to repair the "tray inserted" safety microswitch.
We have two of these air fryers and love them. We've also given many of them to family and friends as gifts. They do have one quality issue, the safety microswitch, which confirms that the tray is fully inserted, goes bad after a while, most likely due to excessive heat.I searched the internet and found one video on YouTube where someone attempted to diagnose the problem and repair it. They were not successful, but this gave me the confidence to try it myself.Disclaimer: Attempt repairs at your own risk! If you don't know what you're doing, don't try this! Make sure the unit is unplugged and cool before working on it. If you are not handy at repairing things, then best not to try this!!!If you are skilled and confident at doing repairs, then here is what I did. First, gently pry off the two knobs. The lower one was a bit tight, and you need to work your way around gently so as not to break it.Then there are two screws to remove each of the decorative plates for the knobs. Keep the screws together with its plate and remember which plate goes on top and bottom. Then comes the trickiest part: removing the faceplate. The top prongs are held by friction. Pry them up working your way down from the top gently, using care not to crack the faceplate. The lower prongs are just hooked in. Don't try to pry them out! They will break. Once you release the top prongs, you can lift the faceplate up and off vertically. (I got this right on the second one I repaired.)After removing the faceplate you can access the microswitch. It is held by two screws and has two wires attached. These carry 110v so be careful to make sure they are firmly attached to the replacement switch prongs.I got replacement switches online for about $5 each. Be sure to get ones that match the originals as closely as possible. Normally open. I had to squeeze down the connectors on the wires to get them to grip the the terminals on the new switch, because they were thinner than the original switch. Also, be sure the plunger and spring under the microswitch are in correctly in place before screwing the new microswitch in place. Be sure to route the wires back to their original positions before reattaching the faceplate. Then reassemble. First hook the lower prongs of the faceplate in the body, then gently but firmly reinsert the upper prongs starting from the bottom and working your way up, and press down on the faceplate to seat the upper tabs. Then screw the knob trims back in place, press on the two knobs and you're done.Repairing the first one took me a couple of hours and I broke some of the lower tabs of the faceplate, because I worked from the bottom up. The second one took less than 30 minutes in total! It's not bad once you know how. I bought a few extra microswitches to have on hand for future repairs.I guess it's difficult to find switches that can stand up to the heat and function. But it's not so hard to replace them once you know how.Disclaimer: If what I said above doesn't make sense to you, you probably should not attempt this repair. If it does, I hope this is helpful. Again, be careful and make sure it is unplugged and cool before working on it. If you find heat resistant switches, I'd love to know where to buy them!I looked at other air fryer reviews, and many of them had similar complaints. It seems like a design defect for many of them. The safety microswitches are not designed to handle the heat. The replacements are mainly for microwave oven doors, which do not see as much heat.Goid luck!!!

Great until it wasn’t. (Edited)
I bought this air fryer about 14 months ago and really liked it until the basket started falling apart. The screws that held the basket together kept falling out and one finally got lost (so I can’t fix it any more).September 16, 2022 update. After posting my negative review several weeks ago, I decided to write to the manufacturer to ask if they would send me the appropriate screws so I could try to fix the basket. After several rounds of correspondence with Secura customer service, they sent me a new basket. I’m back in business.

Great budget option! Still going strong...
I;ve only had this air fryer for a day but so far I am impressed. It seems like a sturdy and well made unit and the basket has tons of space! I;m glad I chose the larger option out of the 2 Secura models. The UK version has the temperature in celcius which is helpful for folk like me who aren;t really familiar with farenheit. So far I have cooked some scones, double chocolate muffins and some frozen oven chips. Everything was cooked perfectly, even on the underside which my gas oven couldn;t achieve! The pan and insert are easy to clean and the interior part of the main unit just needs a wipe with a hot soapy cloth after use so the whole fryer is very easy to look after. The only thing I have noticed about this air fryer is that the fan sometimes gets a bit noisy. I don;t know if that is normal or just a thing this particular model does.I;m really happy with this air fryer, this brand is not very well known in Europe but gets great reviews in North America so I am hopeful that it will last for a decent amount of time. Its a great option if you don;t want to pay the eye watering price of some of the well known brands - especially if you want a large capacity basket without having to pay an arm and a leg!Edited to add on 19/4/20 : Still madly in love with this air fryer. We now regularly make full sized sponge cakes in 7" tins as well as the usual air fryer fare. It;s easy to clean and cooks food more quickly than my old gas oven used to. Can;t recommend this highly enough.11/09/2022: This air fryer has been such a good purchase, we use it at least 5 times per week and it's still going strong! Can't fault it at all :)

GOOD STUFF
Very happy with the air way it cooks, and very easy to clean it can cook up to 1kg which is good size for 2 hungry people and the price is very reasonable and competitive to other more expensive ones I hope it will last for long time.

Simple to operate.
Really very easy to use , the mechanical timer and temperature controls are simple to adjust. The base pan is large enough to cook an Whole small chicken, crisp and golden brown in under 1 hour with this fanned heating element , which circulates the heat around air fryer without burning the food! YOU need to get used to the faster cooking- process and adjust timings to start with, air on the side of caution and check the food once and/ or at least turn over the food during cooking to be sure it's not burning the food stuff !

Must have appliance!
Probably the best and most used of all my kitchen appliances. Really versatile - just look at the range of things the air fryer can do by going onto you tube. This one had large basket and unlike my first one it is not a wire mesh. (Which proved to be very awkward to clean). Very pleased, could not do without now!

Excellent airfryer.
After doing a bit of research on air fryers I stumbled upon this one which didn’t come up in my original Amazon search. But what a find! It’s excellent. It has a huge basket to fit 2/3 full meals easily. It also has a grill rack which usually comes as a separate purchase with other fryers. It isn’t a well known make in the UK but is popular in the USA.
