Great addition
Works great mounted on a rifle even without additional accessories on it. The brightness is perfect for me. Very tough construction. Can withstand more than normal usage for sure. Easy to install following the manufacturer instructions. Very satisfied with the item.

The light for your rifle.
Color was the main motivator for the model. I own 10+ Scout Pro lights and they are my go to weapon light. I usually remove the mounting and us an Arisaka scout mount but it annoys me that after paying for the light I need another $100 to make it work the way I want it. Dual fuel is really a gimmick but if you want a battle tested reliable home defense weapon light just buy it

The best you can buy
What can I say about Surefire lights? They've been through hell and back on many, many battle rifled on deployments to places you don't wanna go - and have survived.Yeh, it hurts to buy a $300 flashlight, and another $100+ for an end cap with a remote switch. But if you're depending on your light to work every time, in a hostile environment 2000 miles from home with the lives of you and your soldiers on the line, then it's money well spent. So do YOU need this light? I don't know. You can buy twenty cheapie Chinese lights that stop working when you accidentally bump it against the car door getting your case out. You can buy two or three Olights that will probably work til the suck gets real. You could also spend almost as much on a Streamlight that might or might not be just as tough.Evaluate your needs. If you're LARPing or airsofting, you probably don't need a Surefire unless you have far too much money on your hands. But if you want a light that will work every times, not matter what sort of abuse it takes then this is your weapon light.

Battery can short on body
Light works just as good as all other surfire lights. Only issue is you have to be meticulous when installing the battery. If its any sort of off center the battery will short to the body causing the light to be stuck on. Feel like this is a relatively easy fix with a light rubber coating on the rim of where the battery sits. Other than that small issue its an amazing light.

Good for close to medium range.
I have had this on my rifle for a while now. It's on my Close Quarters rifle.Good spill and wide. Works great for home applications! For far-reaching lights, I would recommend mod-light since they have a more intense center but the spill is not as good as this Surefire M640.Find out what you will use the light for more than just how bright the center is.AMAZING PRODUCT!

Your typical Surefire light.
It’s bright, battle proven and will take a beating. You get what you pay for when it comes to Surefire. Although, there are other alternatives out there that are just as good for a little less.Modlite, Arisaka, Cloud Defensive and Streamlight come to mind. All good in my opinion.

Poor Cust Service
Ordered 3, one worked perfect. Two were having difficulty staying bright and ran battery down faster than the other. I loved the one that works and kept it, it cam a little scratched but I don't care or complain, the two that did not work well went back but amazon rejected the return saying that it's not able to be returned. Meanwhile it clearly says on there able to return. Not a great experience. I call in and someone transfer me to someone else in amazon to fix the problem and they say no worries we will take care of it, come to find out they never did take care of it. So they are sitting with my return and saying don't credit. At that point just send me my lights and I'll deal with the manufacturer. Never had a terrible experience bought plenty of things with them, was hoping someone would help but they just don't care or are clearly overwhelmed like the rest of businesses and I get it but still customers need help and it's not right to sit in limbo waiting for someone to fix a mistake. I wish the company was unionized so people had better conditions and everything can run smooth. Follow up time is about the time it takes to get a postcard and hold times are pretty wild too.

Awesome light
This thing is sexy. Flush MLock Mount is awesome. The only thing I noticed right out of the box was the Mlock nuts were put on backwards. Make sure they are installed correctly so they spin and lock to the rail. Had the same issue with other Mlock products, but easily fixed.
