It’s really not worth it
Ladies, I know electrolysis is difficult, but just don’t fall into the trap of buying this.I ordered two times, first time the machine beeped and then didn’t anymoreThe second time, the machine didn’t worked at all. I was really excited for this machine, only to realise it’s just not reliable at all. I don’t understand the reviews here sorry. In my case the machine just never worked normally, despite the fact that is was totally new. And btw, I believe it’s just so difficult to do electrolysis yourself that it’s so much worth to go see a specialist who can do it for you.

IT DOES WORK
The home electrolysis kit does work. I've used it twice so far. I bought a 15x magnifying mirror with stand on Amazon, so I've got both hands free to use the electrolysis kit. I keep the salt solution in a screw top beaker so I've always got some ready. I use alcohol to sterilize the needle. When I turn the electrolysis wand on, it does seem to take a while to start working, but after 5 mins or so there is a faint buzzing sound. I use it on setting 4. I'm very dubious as to whether or not it will still be working a year from now. However, it is very difficult to get electrolysis where I live, and when I can find someone, it costs about £16 for 15 mins, so after about 3 uses this will have paid for itself. If it does last for a year, I'll be happy. Less than a year would be unacceptable, not good for the environment if it breaks and ends up in landfill.

Pls Read Updates. Buzzing sound problem now.
Update. I now use Verseo Esmooth. Amazed at the results. Amazed. So easy to use.At first, I thought this was a toy. It is not. It works. Sold on Amazon too. Purchased year 2022. Fifty pounds. Machine good so far.==============Clean and Easy:BE AWARE! It works as long as the machine’s buzzing sound works. And this sound stops working after a short period. The concept is science proven but the product is not well made. It needs innovation.Update after using a replacement for four months. I do not believe it was brand new. Very likely it was a refurbished one. Seller finally gave me full refund. Refused at first. Amazon stepped in.As soon as you sense a problem eg no buzzing sound do not wait to get it fixed on its own. It won’t. Go straight to Amazon customer services and report it or you may lose the refund window. (Do not wait for a reply from manufacturer as you may get told this by seller. You may lose the refund window.)Email: [email protected] > copy order details from My Order and paste it in the email. They will need this. Then go to seller. ‘Ask Question’ box below Buy Now. Copy product link (rectangular box) or copy ASIN before you go to ‘Ask Question’ box.As said before, it works as long as the buzzing sound works which do not last long. So, it is an expensive purchase as you have to keep on buying it. It should buzz as soon as it touches the hair follicle. The puss will come out. This is the sign that electric current has gone in.When it touches the hair follicle AND there is NO buzzing sound > it does nothing. So, why was this buzzing sound not mentioned in the leaflet??? Manufacturers not helpful with answers. Neither is the seller.Pls see You-Tube videos on ‘Clean and Easy’. It shows there is a buzzing sound on touching the hair follicle. ….. But the manufacturer has not mentioned about this buzzing sound in the instruction leaflet. Find this VERY VERY odd on its silence! And, my buzzing sound stopped in four months time and this was a replacement. The first one had the same problem but this was after nine months. There you go….. the manufacturers are sitting on a patent but no innovation. Might as well sell the patent to a company who has the finances to innovate it.When it worked > Lot of my facial hair have gone. Very few stubborn ones left. But you have to keep on buying this machine until you get rid of all the hairs. This is good business for them. Expensive sale > preying on vulnerable.Suggest: if you buy insurance , insurance will not pay for defects. Insurance is for accidental damage only eg if you drop it and it breaks. Be warned!Go to internet and You-Tube which will tell you of other hair removal machines and some are sold on Amazon.======================Previously I gave four stars. Removed it. This following review was written when it worked.Previous one used it for around nine months. Previously, two stylets and two batteries. Then buzzing stopped and then a replacement which only lasted for 3 months. There you go …….. manufacturing fault. When it worked - It WORKS!!! It WORKS!!! It will require a high level of concentration for it.Most of the hair has gone now. Not regrown. But, new ones does come up though - few each time. Before, I used another equipment, Rio laser, for 15 years every alternate day. No results. But now with this, once a week I am getting less and less hair on my chin. It took nine months to see first results.Same ones not regrown after few pull outs, You just need to know how to use it. You-Tube will teach you this. Pls Read on.Advice: Before purchase, go and watch You-Tube videos on “Clean and Easy.” Make sure they are from Clean and Easy. And, be prepared to see yucky pus (chyme) coming out of the skin pores. Watch each video a couple of times.Stylets are delicate and expensive to replace so make sure you learn the technic. You get one stylet with the equipment. Spares can be ordered. I am still using the first one. Now a slightly bent nib but it works. You will need these:1. Magnifying mirror 15x (10x okay too.) More magnification, the better, so you can see clearly where to place the stylet. Or, the stylet will break if it hits a hard surface.2. Tweezers - the tweezers the seller provides, is bulky and outdated. Stone Age type!!! Extra floral one not suitable for me because of the slant. I prefer to use my own which I am familiar with. This is why one less star.3. Cotton wool and Dettol - to clean the skin where unwanted hair is growing.4. Wide mouth cup for salt solution - you will dip your fingers in it.5. Table Salt.6. Square battery - 9V - best Duracell. (I keep the batteries in and connected. )I used the same first battery for one year. Got a new Duracell one for the replacement.Warning: Be careful when removing the battery tabs. They are fragile and can easily tear from the leather material attached. It is flimsy. Low grade make. Be warned.7. A penny coin - to open the back cover. Another odd ancient method!!! - Not easy to open first time. Be prepared for this. Do not force it open or it will break. Need strong hands.Later, sellotape the coin at the back for future use. This is why one less star.8. Foundation (skin) cream to cover the pits it leaves behind.9. A spacious surface to lay out the equipment and accessories.10. A towel.11. Good lighting for UK.USE: Do use instruction manual. After turning dial on, open stylet and place it against the gold plate with salt solution on your finger tips. Pls see image. It makes a buzzing sound. It shows current is running.BUZZING SOUND:a). The buzzing sound may not work immediately when using it to place it into the pore. Don’t panic. It may be that you do not have enough salt in your solution, that is on your finger tips.b). Also, possible, after completion, buzzing sound goes on continuously as long as battery is attached. Disconnect battery and I have kept it this way until next use. It has worked next time round.c). When the stylet (used with salt on your finger tips) goes into the pore, it will make a buzzing sound. First time it buzzed all the way as long as the dial was on. Now buzzing sound only when in use. The buzzing sound can be muffled with a thick towel over the box.AFTER USE:1. Stylet pen mouth gets clogged up. The stylet will break/bend if the mouth of the stylet pen gets dry from debris. Clean stylet and its mouth GENTLY with Dettol.2. Also, clean the tweezers with Dettol. Why use SALT solution? From Google: In hair removal, the electric current passes through a needle inserted into the hair follicle and chemically changes the salt and water in the skin to produce sodium hydroxide. Sodium hydroxide, commonly known as lye, is caustic enough to kill the cells that generate hair growth.Doctor:I even went to see my GP (doctor) who sent me to a Dermatologist and they found a very small (1mm) cyst in my uterus. This caused facial hair growth. The cyst was too small for operation so I was told to use electrolysis. This is it. It WORKS! But first learn the technic and use a magnifying mirror. Cheers. Requires a lot of dedication, but you do get results
I keep reading poor reviews from people who say this doesn't work and they've returned it. It's literally impossible to see any results within the return period (28 days), that's not how hair growth cycles work. Hair can be in active growth or dormant, these phases last a number of months.I'm now 8 months into treating my face (this is my second device). It took me forever to clear the hair, and then I went on to treat it for the first round, and I'm on the second round now. It's taken this long for me to notice it's working! I've noticed about a 50% decrease during this time. As I'm doing it myself I do end up missing hairs at times. It requires a lot of concentration and dedication. You will end up with red dots, the booklet says that's normal. Don't be tempted to increase the power to high, you will notice the burns can become much worse. Thankfully wearing masks in public can hide the dots, for now!As mentioned in other reviews, use a magnifying mirror as this helps tremendously. Set time aside to do this, and keep up with it and you'll see it's a great little device. Zap the hair twice and it should glide out, if it resists give it another zap. I knocked a star off as my first device didn't last as long I expected.

Waste of money!
The most primitive tool ever made for its intended purpose. After using it, it left bruises and scars on the skin that did not go away for a long time.

Not easy to use- minimal effect
It is not a well-made item. It needs a lot of work before deserving the price. I’d say it is effective 5 % of the time.

Absolute life changer
I don't say this lightly...this is a life changer. If this is used properly it genuinely permanently removes hair.I feel that negative reviews must have not being using it correctly.Tips: you MUST use salt water on your fingers that touch the silver bit on the probe or it won't work.Do one hair at a time, go into the follicle, the machine will start beeping as soon as you make contact with your skin. I have mine on level 5 and wait for 5 beeps then remove the probe and tweeze the hair. If it glides out it's treated and that hair won't ever grow back! If there's still a bit of tug on it just tweeze it out and treat that hair in a few weeks.Get yourself a 10 x magnifying mirror and the tweezers with the pointy ends.Just do a few hairs each time, don't hammer the same area.Negatives..its kind of long winded because you're doing one hair at a time and it's uncomfortable but not painful. That's literally the only bad thing about it. Best purchase I've ever made.
