It works very well

I've always disliked leaving my garage door open. Inevitably flies, mosquitoes, and other creepy crawly bugs end up in my home.I purchased this air curtain just for my garage, but after the improvement and lack of bugs, I ultimately ended up buying another one for above my French doors off of my master bedroom.The low, to no noise makes this my favorite toy.I'm able to leave it on all day without having to close my doors. It doesn't cool the room, but that's not it's purpose, it does a great job of keeping bugs out and it even works like a wall keeping the exterior temperature out and my interior temperature easy to control.I can see why many businesses use this same technology to address a nuisance that without this type of fan is virtually impossible without keeping the doors closed at all times.

Equipment does the job, and the sensor helps to turn on only when needed. Just bought another one.

The media could not be loaded. Easy to install? 5 stars but I am a contractor so I felt this was an extremely easy install. I also took the time tonrun an out let on the ceiling right above this so that an extension cord isn't needed. (Highly recommend!)Door switch instructions are absolutely useless so plan on looking up that product nonline to see the wiring schematics.Fan noise is 3 stars. It's similar to a white box fan on high so not too loud but definitely noticable.The reason for the one star review is this is our 2nd unit that was shipped broken. The first one had a broken squirrel cage in the center that was not repairable. Luckily for us we caught it within the return window for Amazon policy.However the second one I didn't get the chance to open right away because of being busy at work. The second one had even more parts not attached when we opened the package. The far-right squirrel cage constantly rattles as is if it is hitting the housing. I suspect that the shaft on the motors is possibly bent.I have worked for manufacturing facilities in the past and was beyond shocked that both units we received had so many parts inside not attached at all. With zero damage to the cardboard box and no sign of damage to the styrofoam supports inside the box, it is clear these two units were packaged this way before being shipped.Now I'm stuck with a great idea as far as the concept but have no idea if it will keep flies out because the rattling motors are too annoying to leave the unit plugged in.Simple word advice.....if you decide to purchase this open it right away and plan to return in prior to the end of the refund/exchange window.

I am impressed with this air curtain. My husband set up the switch to go in and off as the doors opens and closes and it works great. I wish the airflow was a bit stronger but for the price this one really works good. We live by a mink farm and have so many flies! This has helped tremendously with keeping the little buggers out of my house. Buyer beware: the door switch is included but you have to wire it to the unit yourself and there are no instructions for how to do it.

Works well, noisy but worth it to keep the flying insects out.

Its 'ok'. It blows air when door to garage is opened and turns off quickly when the door is closed. However, the air is not very strong. I can see flies actually fight through the "air curtain" and still come inside the house. I wish the air was more powerful. It'll prevent 'some' flies from entering but definitely not 100%.

I read reviews of this before buying. Mine did come with the high and low switch. I bought this for my small storefront. It works well with my ac, as I can keep the doors open and it is still cool in my shop. It was a very hot summer. When I first turned it on it sounded like a table saw. IT was so loud, I had to cover my ears. Clearly, it was broken. I almost sent it back. I called my maintenance man who installed it for me. He took it down and opened it up. There were loose screws and bolts and a piece of metal that were stuck in the fan. They were obviously not fastened correctly at the factory. Being the awesome maintenance man that he is, he put them all back in their places and reinstalled the blower. It works perfectly fine for now. My customers comment on the nice burst of air they get when they walk through the door.
