Ivory Original Liquid Hand Soap Refill, 48 oz

Didn't I write this already. Yes, I like the product, have used it for years. Substitutes on drugstore shelves are inferior: I think it happened when the FDA banned antibiotics from hand soap. Ivory Liquid has never had antibiotics, which is one reason I always used it. But did all this rigamarole cause a rise in Ivory Liquid Hand Soap Prices? I don't know why it should have, but it certainly is much more expensive now.Another thing I'm wondering: I'm going to have to order the small dispensers of Ivory Liquid Hand Soap later. When I browsed, I noticed that this product had various prices from extremely high down to somewhat reasonable. It may not be Amazon, but somebody is taking their customers for a ride.

I don't understand why such a pure soap would be discontinued by the manufacturer! I will keep buying more of it as long as I can find it at a reasonable price. It is at least 10 times the price per ounce that I was previously paying in the stores, so it's not a bargain. I don't understand why if it is discontinued, you had to mark it up so terribly to take advantage of the ones that like it and didn't know it was discontinued until it wasn't available in the stores for awhile! That should be illegal! Just like when there is a shortage of gas and everyone jacks the price up to a ridiculous price (Oh I guess that is most of the time anymore!).

Amazon was the only place I could find this very simple, plain, soap. So much better than all the antibacterial, scented products that one finds in local markets. It arrived so securely packaged that I marveled at the layers of plastic wrapping - until I discovered that the bottle had indeed leaked, and that only the plastic wrappings protected the rest of the package. Well done. This large bottle will last me a long time.

As described and quickly shipped. The bottles are well packed and sealed not to leak. However, some reason one bottle always seems to leak a bit, but I'm thrilled to have the product available. I will definitely order again.

Product is always good but...the last two orders contained broken bottle caps and the liquid soaked the boxes. The bottles were wrapped well in plastic but the liquid soap leaked through and made a wet mess.

The product was exactly what I wanted, but the bottles were shipped on their sides and all of them leaked at least some, one of them leaked a lot. They had plastic shrinkwrap sealing around the bottles, which contained most of the leakage, but it would have worked so much better to pack them upright and put instructions "this way up".

I have always loved Ivory liquid hand soap, unfortunately the price has gotten much too high. I'm guessing that Ivory is discontinuing this product which makes me disappointed. Ivory liquid hand soap is gentle and mild without added scent. If it were not for the over price, I would recommend it.
