Cargo bag a good choice for many travelers
I purchased a CURT 18153 Basket Style Cargo Carrier and will be using this product with it to take my daughter to college in late summer. I unboxed this product to check its build quality and to make sure it would fit the cargo carrier as expected. It does fit fine, and seeing it opened up I can now visualize the items I'll be storing in it for travel. I think it will be perfect for light weight items like bedding which will compress when the included straps are cinched down.At first glance I think the product is on par with the price I paid (fifty-seven dollars), and perhaps a tad better. I lived aboard a sailboat for several years and used similar bags for deck storage and on a dingy. It's not as heavy-duty as those, but I do expect it will be waterproof and maintain that ability through Oregon's changing weather patterns which can include downpours and blazing hot sun in the same day!Call me Captain Overkill, but I may put garbage bags around all the items I put inside, just in case. I think the way the bag is constructed it would be tough for water to get inside unless there was a hole in the bag. But I think minor abrasions to this bag could occur and would require a quick fix with duct tape or similar. Movement - particularly on the bottom of the bag - could affect this product's ability to keep the weather out.The included straps are thin and the buckles are plastic. I do think they'll do the job, but will need frequent rechecks. The included instructions explain you will use them to secure the bag to your cargo carrier, and there are some metal loops that can be used to extend the connection if needed. I would be concerned about using just these straps alone, and will either be adding a cargo net or better yet, tie down ratchet-style straps to reinforce the attachment to the cargo carrier. The bag is very roomy and should work well for my intended purpose. The zippers are covered by a generous flap and while it doesn't have a frame inside of it (see how one reviewer fashioned his own out of PVC pipe) you could do that or have it mold to whatever items you put inside it.It looks like it should rinse off easily should it get dirty, and folds easily for storage. If I intended to use this bag over several seasons; enduring both hot and cold extremes, with hard contents rubbing on it, I might look elsewhere for a more heavy-duty bag. Although I don't know if by spending more on one I'd get that anyway.Honestly, I think that if you take good care of it - storing properly when not in use, and making sure it's not rubbing up against metal on the cargo carrier, this bag should be a good choice for many travelers. I'm looking forward to using it and love that it easily adds much needed storage and protection.----------------------NOTE: I loved Shawn Parr's review of this item with photos.I hope to add similar ones after we've used it. I will report back after its maiden voyage of 600 miles round trip in late August 2016. I expect it will do fine and be used for several seasons if I load and transport it with care. I will be putting down cheap (Dollar Store) shelf liner - the rubber kind - in the bottom of the cargo carrier to limit the abrasions to the bottom of this bag during use.The photos added to this review include: zipper, zipper with Velcro, in CURT cargo carrier (empty), in CURT cargo carrier (full-ish with room to spare in Amigo carrier), items stuffed into bag and zipped ready for tie downs to go on carrier. There was still room inside the bag and I was no where close to the weight capacity. Will be using Space Bag 14 Bag Space Saver Set for bulky items like pillows, comforter, blankets and some clothing before putting those items in this bag to transport them when moving my daughter into her college dorm room. (I just wish the bag had handles on the ends so I could simply lift it and go instead of unpacking the items.)I'm very pleased with this item. There's an AMAZING amount of storage in the bag and when used with the included straps plus a couple of ratchet tie downs and/or a cargo net on a carrier, most will find it's a great purchase.---------------------------

Rain proof, spacious, and secure bag for cargo
Appearance: Conservative color choices with black and grey which is nice for not making too obvious that you have a cargo bag (I'm always afraid of leaving unattended for prolonged times but the color selection blends into the vehicle). Initially it appears like it would be a perfect rectangle shape however regardless of what you put in it the tightened straps will change the shape (see picture). I like how there is a flap covering the zipper portion which keeps with the low profile look. The material to touch appears very durable same with zippers. The included pictures are after 8-10 times use with prolonged sun/rain exposure (little to no fading or cracking of material)Functionality: initially it does not appear like much will fit however once you start packing it you'll notice it expands. In the picture, I have a large rug Doctor unit, row of diaper boxes on bottom, and the right side have 3 long cardboard boxes w binders standing up in it, and a bag of items. There is still room for smaller items that may fit in between. Perfect for our Yukon that is carrying multiple passengers. The material does not stretch so becareful overpacking as the zippers will tough to close. Sometimes I will push it close and zip which has not caused any issues so far. Zipper is smooth and does not catch on the material. The zippers have holes which you could put a small lock through it. It has been through multiple heavy rains and the items have not wet yet (as long as flap covers zipper as designed). If using for over a week with rain/changes in weather, it may slightly condense inside (only a little bit). There are six securing straps that keep it on cargo loader which tighten with ease and stay tight. I usually keep the 3 closest to vehicle attached and remove the back 3 so I can open. Sometimes it take 30-45 seconds to thread these straps due to tight fit (but that is a good thing during transit). With my Yukon I can open the trunk still which is awesome. Although in the pic I over stuffed height wise and it was barely catching on it (I just pushed the bag and opened trunk door). May depend on vehicle and amount of cargo in the bag.Quality: High quality material that has withstood testing against heavy use(luggage, fishing equip, objects w pointed edges). There has not been any scratches or punctures yet as it is quite durable.Overall: Great quality and highly functional. Spacious and rainproof which is what you want in these bags. Even has extra room next to on cargo loader which is nice to know. I highly recommend this bag.

Nice, large, waterproof bag.
This bag fits the Pro Series 63153 Rambler Hitch Cargo Carrier (for 2" Receivers) nicely. I purchased this in July, 2016 and have used it several times on trips. This bag does not have a rigid frame, it is simply a large bag. (If you read the review by Todd Alford here, he has instructions for making a rigid frame out of 1/2 inch PVC pipes that works very well.)The bag works well in all weather and keep your items dry and clean. The size is 59 x 18.5 x 24 inches and fits a lot of luggage which frees up space inside my SUV (we travel with a couple dogs and they enjoy the extra room).I gave this review 4 stars for a couple reasons. The material is stiff and the corners are sometimes difficult to pull down over my homemade frame when using the zipper (the left corner material has torn away from the zipper but there is enough material covering the zipper that the bag still stays dry inside). Also, because the end of the nylon straps are folded and stitched, they are thick and difficult to get through the plastic tie downs. Some are easier than others but a couple are a real pain to get through the plastic and require pliers.Overall, I recommend this bag along with the matching Pro Series 63153 Rambler Hitch Cargo Carrier. I also purchased the ROLA 59516 LED Light Kit that installed easily into the carrier. Note that the less expensive ROLA 20174 Red Cargo Carrier Light Kit does not fit the carrier very well and after trying to install it, I returned it for the LED kit.
