The leash is exactly as advertised. Basic with a bit of padding in the handle. On the shorter end but good for any nervous dog.I chose to repurpose it since leash tags for some reason can be 15$ a pop for a SINGLE SIDED warning?? Ridiculous. I will not lie and say it was not neat and tidy. The sides frayed a little as pictures and I had to cut one side open to make it fit (didn’t slide like a sleeve over metal clasps). Pink leash is 3/4” biothane and black is 1” nylon. Used some staples to secure them well. Functional for what I needed! And now I can walk my reactive pup with 3 of my leashes instead of one eyesore (but effective) neon yellow leash.PSA the owners of untrained, off-leash dogs still wouldn’t see it if you plastered it on their forehead. But it makes others give me a little more space.

**updated** Just wanted to add that I am still using this leash, 5 years later. Such great quality and hands down one of the best purchases made for our dog. While our pup is nicely socialized now he still doesn't like people other than us petting him and this still stops 95% of it (the other 5% is just people being people and ignoring it) **This is just what we needed. We adopted a rescue dog who had some issues socializing. He's really cute and small so people just come right up to him or bend over to pet him without checking to see if it was ok first. We also live in an area with a ton of other dogs and it was really surprising how many people would just let their dogs run up to ours without checking to see if he was friendly or if it was ok. This pretty much has stopped that, not 100% but to the point where most people give us some space. It has given me the opportunity to train and socialize him at his pace. The leash is also really well made & I like the bright yellow color for walking at night.

My dog is very uneasy around strangers and I wanted to find something to show it off when I learned about the Yellow Dog Project. I haven't been able to show it off to too many people since we haven't been around too many since I got it. It's a nice length for keeping the pooch nice and close on walks. The picture makes it appear to say Nervous on one side, but it is stitched on both. The strap is padded to make it more comfortable to hold. It's a great price for a leash and helps create awareness to dogs who just need their space. Would have bought the collar too but I use a harness when I walk my pup and have made a scarf to attach to it. Received it very quick too.

I have had many comments about this leash, manly a 'thank you' so that people know I have a nervous rescue dog, rather than a barking twat.The leash is well made and sturdy, with a padded comfortable handle.

This short leash is the perfect length for taking my nervous pup into stores and on narrow trails. It's also just short enough to just hang by her harness when I trust her to walk next to me without it dragging on the ground. The cushioned handle is very comfortable, and the word "nervous" is sewn into both sides of the leash, which I like. I also bought the red "no dogs" leash in the same 2 foot length, and I am very happy with both purchases.

Then only downfall is with people who do not pay attention to it. I would definitely order again

I paired it with a vest that has the “nervous” patches on the sides. Super visible color/font and just what I needed. I tried many products from other brands to show that my dog needs space, but many were small or not visible enough. This gives me confidence when I walk her for our daily walks that people will notice and respond respectfully.

It's great quality, made well, works like a dream. It's so super helpful. I find it adds to the alert factor as it should which is what I needed. Glad I purchased.
