Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar - Anime

I love the nuetral red color of this NSFW Lip Tar it is such a perfect red. Almost the same as Russian Red a matte shade from MAC. It goes on silky and dries matte and is very light on the lips. I also love the peppermint oil in the tar.A little goes a long way so squeeze out the teeniest drop on the brush or on your lips and then apply with the brush. It looks great on and lips feel pretty comfortable. It is a little drying but I sometimes combat that by applying MAC Russian Red on top rather than a gloss. A lot of longwear formulations are drying so it's wise to moisturize lips in advance and then wipe off beofre applying this color.The reason I am giving it 3 stars is that it looks FABULOUS for the first hour but then starts to come off on coffee cups or anything you eat even faster than my MAC matte lipsticks. After a little while it's gone. Even my Covergirl and Revlon longwear liquid lipcolors stay much longer. I've even kissed people and they have stayed put. For something called 'tar' I expect it to stick around on my lips a lot longer.It's also prone to feathering badly despite using a lipliner and also comes off on teeth. Especially the feathering is a complete no-no. And it's too hard to touch up without whipping out a mirror and the little brush.So 3 stars, still recommended for occasional wear and especially for photographs. The tube comes with a clear pouch and a little brush for application. No frills. Will last a long time due to the tiny amount that is used.

I was expecting this to really stay put based on other reviews. It stays pretty well relative to most drugstore brands, but I still had to reapply it frequently over a 3-hour period, even when I gave it like 5 minutes to dry. It also tends to migrate (um... ALL OVER your face if you aren't careful... mind where you put your hands if you touch your lips, because this stuff is like PAINT), particularly to the edges and corners of the lips, and to the teeth (I suspect strongly that a bit of lip liner and some loose powder might at least lessen this problem, however). You literally only need a tiny dot (like the head of a pin) to do each lip because it has so much pigment. On the plus-side, the color is stunning. I don't think I could resist wearing this again, and would consider purchasing another color in the future (as I will literally never run out of this color).

This was a huge disappointment for me. Based on the description, I thought the color would last all day if I did not eat or drink anything. That is not the case. It lasts up to three hours, then is faded, and by lunch time, there is not more than a hint of color left. Touching up lip color midday is not usually a problem, but this is a tube with a tiny brush that is extremely difficult to apply, so it's not practical to give a quick swipe of color at your desk. Furthermore, it is not easily portable, because the color from the brush gets all over the inside of the case, making a pretty mess. It is best left and used only at home.The bright color easily fades into fine lines around your lips, so if you are over 50, this is probably not for you.The dark, bright shade of pink is pretty, though; and for that reason, I gave it two stars instead of one. It looks good for photography. Just know that it's not going to last a whole lot longer than the session with your photographer.

It is a pretty good product. I bought it in tone. Tone should be mixed with dark lipsticks, to tone them down. I mix mine with lime crime candy apple gloss to make a nice pink. Tone should not be worn alone. It looks horrible that way. I may try the hush or divie. Those look similar but with more pink and look wearable on their own. Not to be mixed with other colors. I like how it is thick. Plus it is a vegan product. That is great in my eyes. I will buy the lip tars again but in other colors. Meant to be used with a lip brush by the way.

I have almost every color of OCC lip tar so I am pretty obsessed. This is a little darker than in the picture but it still is a really pretty vibrant purple color. It can be a little difficult to apply but once you get used to the consistency of the product it is not that hard. I would recommend anyone obsessed with OCC like I am to pick this up because I can't find the color anywhere.

I bought one of these because I heard a lot of good stuff about OCC so I purchased one to try it out and I like it. I don't love it just yet, I love blue so I got the blue one but maybe I need to try a lighter color but I do like it and I think it's worth trying if you're a make-up lover :)

This stuff is great. BUT, please use the smallest amount humanly possible or else you are going to hate it. I seriously wiped my finger over the top of the tube and was able to use that for an entire lip. The first time I used this, I applied what I would consider a normal amount, using a brush. DO NOT base your judgment of amount on normal lip products. This stuff is concentrated. Use as little as possible.Once used correctly, its awesome. The plus here is that I feel like this is going to last me an entire year because of how little I have to use.

Does not match description. This is too thin and it’s similar to a lip gloss and not a lip stain. I’ve bought plenty of these and a little goes a long way.. it is no joke when it comes to a true matte color. Very disappointed with my purchase and would not recommend.
