My 8 year old Shark vacuum would not stay turned on unless I duct taped the switch down. My wife wanted to just buy a new one, but this one still worked perfectly other than the switch. I pulled up a YouTube video, and saw how easy replacing the switch was. It took me about an hour. I'm sure a trained technician could have done in half the time, but it was not that difficult. This was an inexpensive alternative to buying a new vacuum for sure.
