Great chair!
Was skeptical at first due to the price, but after using it for the past 3 months, it has definitely been worth the upgrade over my previous Serta iComfort chair. The chair was delivered fully assembled via an Amazon lift gate truck, so after removing it from the box, it was ready to go.Make sure you properly adjust the chair before using it! The chair has seat pan (allows moving the seat itself forward/back), arm height + position, lumbar height, and chair height/recline tension adjustments. The chair is very solid, and all of the plastics, metal, and fabrics feel high quality. I thought that I would miss not having a head rest, but it hasn't been an issue at all-- and I've even fallen asleep in the chair numerous times :D The reclining action works great as well (I am 6' 0" ~200lbs).From what I could decipher from Steelcase's warranty document, all of the major chair components have a 12 year warranty, which in my mind helps justify the higher price of a chair like this, since most chairs typically only last me 2 to 3 years before falling apart.Would recommend!

this is a great chair
not flashy at all. but with adjustments, it is great. for something you are going to be spending most of your time on, it is worth the money. I hope they can switch to metal wheels

Ruined Floors
Chair is comfortable. I am 6' 1" and 230 lbs and I find the chair comfortable for extended periods of time.Unfortunately, the chair damaged my hardwood floors. Each of the hard plastic wheels had a little bump on them, perhaps from the mold used to make the wheel. After using the chair for a few hours, I noticed that the tiny bumps had created many tiny divets in my brand new hardwood floors. HUGE bummer. I was able to remove the bumps with a razor. Alas, the damage is done.Big letdown from an otherwise very good chair. Steer clear if you plan on using chair on hardwood. Otherwise, you'll probably love it.

NO more pain!
I had been having back pain and sciatica for several months. I traced it to my office chair. Went searching for something better and found this chair. First of all, I am 5'4" and most chairs aren't designed for short people. My former chair seat was hitting the backside of my knee so I tended to scoot forward which then made me slump. No more. I have the seat adjusted so I can sit up straight with my back against the back of the chair. The adjustable arms allow me to get right up under my desk and adjustable height means my feet are flat on the floor like they should be. Sciatica and back pain ended the first day I used this chair!

Terrible cushion
Before I bought the Amia, I used a much cheaper desk chair, and I know what bad cushion support feels like--you can feel the hard plastic frame through the cushion, and long work sessions make you sore. I'm 6'1" and weigh 190 lbs. It took about three months for the cushion on the cheap chair to give out. The cushion on the Amia lasted about four months. Yes, only one month longer than a chair that cost $140. Now it's effectively useless. Totally unacceptable for the price, and I can't believe the issue isn't mentioned in other reviews.

Beautifully designed, firm and supportive chair
I wanted a solid chair that would look good in my home, and that would be comfortable during the long hours spent working from home. (I purchased this prior to COVID 19, and lucky that I did!) I chose this model because it was less expensive than some other Steelhouse models, and still had all of the features I was most interested in. So far I have to say it has lived up to expectations. It's as high quality as I would expect, and provides sturdy support. All of my back issues have more or less subsided since I started using this chair for 8+ hours per day (with frequent exercise breaks). My only issue is that the seat is not as comfortable as I had hoped. Part of this could be that I haven't quite tweaked all the adjustments, but then again, I don't think it should be so hard to find your sweet spot in a $700 chair! Overall, I highly recommend it if you're looking for a firm, supportive, high quality office chair. Like most things, its probably better to test one out in a showroom to find out what works best for your body, but if that's not possible, then this chair is a a good option.

Extremely adjustable, very comfortable.
Keep in mind I'm a 5'2 woman so I appreciated that I could sit with my back actually on the backrest instead of having to scoot all the way to the front so that my legs could touch the floor. The ability to adjust almost every aspect of the chair was appreciated and made it so comfortable I could fall asleep on it. The arm rests swivel so you can have them at an angle if you want to. It's such a worthwhile investment! I know there are other chairs at this price point that may be better for taller people, but at least in my case, I don't worry about backpain anymore.

Overpriced, hard to sit on for long periods of time
I had read so many reviews about this chair, and even did research from articles online and YouTube. It is initially great for sitting for shorter periods of time, but not great as a work chair. It is way too stiff and the bottom part does not have enough cushioning. My back and bottom started hurting after several days of using this chair. At first the swiveling, non-lockable arm rests did not bother me, but soon became a pain in that they always move, even when I'm sitting down working. The chair is heavy to move, so you have to move it from the back support, and not the arms as they will swivel and move. Overall disappointed in this purchase of an almost a $1,000 chair. It is past the return time on Amazon, so I'm stuck with a too firm, overpriced chair. So disappointed. I would NOT recommend buying. I have gone back to my $100 office chair from Office Depot that is armless and has way more back and bottom cushioning. Moreover, it does not hurt my bottom and back with the old chair.
