Very great unit for the money.
Works well.Love the swing feature to blow the wind through the room without it blowing in a straight line like a normal unit.Pretty quiet too.

Below-Average AC unit for the price.
I used this in my insulated/finished garage for 3 years. I live in Fresno California. This AC unit has not been able to keep up with the heat during the summer and intermittently gets so full of water it ends up soaking everything. I suggest you go with another product before settling on this one.

Dead on arrival
The media could not be loaded. Turned it on for the first time and it just made nosie and did not blow any air and then finally just stopped. And it is past my return window so I just wasted $449. I bought this for use if a hurricane was coming and sure enough, it is going to hit the Tampa area and now I will have to sweat it out. What a pos.

I have the 8000 Btu New Air and live in New York Never once had to empty it .This is the same technology.. The only thing with this unit is the bottom grill on this unit has no filter. I was told it was not needed..
