LG LP1415SHR Portable Air Conditioner, 115V w/Electric Heat, Dehumidifier, & Remote - 14,000 BTU

Works well. Not as easy to install in the window as I thought it would be.

This a newer release of the LG LP1414SHR hence the last two numbers 15 signifying the year 2015 vs the 14 for 2014. I can't compare it to the 1414 because I don't have one. I bought this one sort of by chance. I was initially skeptical, but knowing it could be easily returned was enough for me to give it a try. In the previous iteration there were complaints about loudness, this system is no louder than my main central air system, it sits in the living room about four feet from the chair I am sitting in and writing this review. It's not whisper quiet on the second fan setting, but I would not call it loud either. Performance overall is acceptable, this is a four bedroom apartment, and it cools the living room quite well. It was purchased for just that reason. My wife thinks it works well, and that being said we will be keeping it. This is only after one day though...but so far so good. Also for reference this is in Texas Heat.

I love this, I bought this when my air conditioner went out in my house. Easy to use and set up. Heat and air works great for a small space.
