Stohlquist Youth Escape PFD Life Jackets

We purchased these for our 8 year old, 50lb twins, and it worked great. Both boys are rather skinny, and so most lifejackets in this weight range have a tendency to ride-up. Not this life jacket, though. The strap below the waist helps to keep the jacket from riding up, and the wide neck means that even if it does ride up, it isn't squeezing their head and neck. The pocket is oversized and handy for storing goggles in. The material is also very durable, and I'm confident we'll be using it for several years to come.

Pretty disappointed. The zipper came down when my daughter fell off tubing! Not acceptable.Had been happy with it as far as fit and adjustability. Not anymore!!!!!

I bought this life jacket for my nieces who were miserable in other life jackets rubbing up under their armpits. One is 65lbs and the other is 50lbs. My nieces are athletic and not "scrawny" at all. These life jackets were huge on them. I had the straps as tight as they would go and by lifting on the shoulders I could pull the jacket right off. The v-chest area was very awkward and gaped open. With the wide shoulder design I don't know how other reviewers were saying that this jacket didn't ride up. Returned immediately.

Well my daughter is 7 and about 78 lbs. she has an issue where she doesn't like things touching her neck so we needed a jacket the was more v-neck-y. Esp that stayed v-neck-y when she sat down to kayak or inner tube at camp. This totally fit the bill.

I have a husky 4 year hold who needed a swim jacket that would hold his weight (>60 lbs). After reading the reviews, I purchased this life jacket to use as a swim jacket, and it works well, however, it is constantly riding up past his belly to his neck and chest. I'll have to get him out of the water to tug it down, which is annoying. There's a belt buckle, along with several buckles all along the sides, but it still has a tendency to ride up. Otherwise, works great and he's very comfortable swimming around in the pool.

Very happy with the vest. My son is 7 yrs old and is 60lbs, we have all the straps pulled as tight as possible and it's still a tad big but not too bad. He jumped in the pool with it and was able to swim just fine with it.

fits well for my 9yr old with some room to grow. Used everyday on stand up paddle board. Arrived on time.

Perfect in every way. 4 feet 6 inch girl 80+ pounds. I'd buy it again.
