RykaWomen's Devotion Plus 2 Walking Shoe

Great sneakers
I really like these sneakers a lot, and this is my 4th pair of Ryka sneakers. I love the color of the stripes and details, and how the color shifts from blue to purple in the light.Pros: They wear comfortably all day and have great arch support. I have plantar fasciitis, and these shoes help keep it from getting inflamed, even after prolonged walking or standing. They are well made, and even after wearing them daily for the last few months, they still look practically new, and the colors have not faded at all.Cons: This style of shoe is that it is not waterproof at all, and the shoe will fill with water if you step in a puddle on a rainy day. They did dry out rather quickly, though! This shoe also runs slightly short. I normally wear a 7 1/2 but go to a size 8 in Ryka to keep my toes from hitting the inside front end of the shoe.Overall, I will continue to purchase Ryka sneakers, as the value is great, and the quality is excellent.

Puts a pep in my step
I purchased these because I thought the color combination was really cute and I am not one to wear trainers very often - until now. These shoes feel like walking on clouds. They have nice support and I don't know any other way to describe how they feel other than to say it really puts a spring in my step. They fit true to size and the quality is good, they are holding up beautifully. I have wide feet and these still fit well and feel great. Great shoe for the price.

Order 1/2 Size UP
Tried 3 styles of Mizuno's and other brands. These Rykas felt and fit the best - that is, AFTER I ordered 1/2 size larger than I normally wear in sneakers. In my regular size 6.5, my toes got squished up front and the entire shoe felt tight. The size 7 is comfortable, except for one Big issue. Although fine for just short walks from here to there, exercise was painful. I fast-walk on a treadmill at least 3.5 miles every other day, and the first time I wore these sneakers I developed a pain in the bottom of my left foot that did not go away for 2 days. I realized that while the 1/2 size larger shoe fit, the arch support was no longer situated in the correct place for my feet. I swapped out the insoles for ones I found for work/sports in a drug store. Now my arches are happy again, and there’s no more pain. If the sizing had been accurate, it would have been 5 stars.UPDATE 6-7-23: As I have gotten more fit, I now exercising more. I walk ~6 miles 3-4 a week at a top speed of 3.9mph on my treadmill. Last week I noticed that the soles of these sneakers are beginning to wear through in the same spot of both shoes. I’ve never done this much walking/cardio in my life, but I guess I should have expected the wear and tear. I wanted to buy another pair before these wear out completely. I wanted another pair of the Devo Plus 2 in the same color (or another I like) but Ryka's stopped making this style. I ended up buying the Devotion Plus 3. They are visually very similar with some changes, and there are upgrades to the design (the tongue stabilizer is in a better place, etc.), but they are Still 1/2 size Too Small. At least the company is consistent - I expect them to be just as comfortable too.

Not good quality
I have never purchased Ryka before, but needed a good pair of shoes for a new job where I would be standing/walking a lot. They feel comfortable enough, though it takes some getting used to from other brands that are not geared specifically toward women. But the quality seems shoddy. I have had these shoes for a month and have worn them for approximately 15 hours total, but the stripes on the sides are peeling off. Obviously doesn’t affect usability but makes them look crappy and if that’s the case, why include them at all?Doesn’t give me much hope for the overall quality, and I won’t be buying this brand again.

Love these shoes!
This is my third pair of Ryka shoes I have purchased. The first two pairs held up well with heavy everyday use as I rarely wear any other shoes. I have always had trouble finding comfortable shoes and I think that is partly due to my high arches. I bought my first Ryka shoes after doing research online for the best athletic shoes for high arches. I love that they are made by and for women and when purchasing my second pair are did have some concern with the quality since some reviewers said that the quality and fit had decreased with Ryka shoes. Some reviewers even said that they thought they were not authentic on Amazon. I am glad that I still purchased them and didn’t allow those reviewers to influence my decision to still get them. The first two pair worked great to wear while having lumbar disk back issues and a total knee replacement. I appreciated the stability and how they did not aggravate my conditions. These third ones I purchased have all the same benefits as the first pairs I purchased and more. The first two were comfortable but these new ones are ultra comfortable but still light and perfect to use for my new diagnoses of psoriatic arthritis. With this new condition I have frequent pain, swelling, and nerve issues in my feet and these shoes help with all of that. I highly recommend these shoes to consumers who have high arches and/or the conditions mentioned in this review.

Size
I’m a 63 yo Ryker fan over 10 years. Yet, with no weight gain over the 10 + years …actually lost 12 pounds, size 11 W no longer fit in length. The size 12 works ok yet slightly sloppy in the width. Overall, I can appreciate the Devotion Model because I walk heavy in the foot heel area. So the extra sole heal cushion is worth me keeping the shoe. Not all Ryker Tennis Shoes has this sole….only the devotion. They’re great for cushioning in the hips walking on tile in house and low impact aeorobics. Enjoy 🫶🏾

Worked really well for long periods of walking!!!
I got these shoes because I have foot issues and usually need to buy separate insoles for shoes. That wasn’t the case with these Ryka shoes, the colours are really pretty and they are very comfortable. I didn’t need any extra insoles or anything, they are good on their own. I wear these at work all day and I recently wore them at Disneyland. They were awesome at Disneyland, with all the walking we had to do my feet didn’t hurt that bad. They were a bit sore at the end of the day but nothing like previous shoes I’ve had. I didn’t get any blisters from these shoes. I will probably stick to the Ryka brand from now on!!!

Very narrow fitting
Like the lightness of these shoes and the colour, I was sent the wrong size but decided to keep them and they have given a bit. They do come up quite narrow (I received the wrong size but they have given a bit so kept them) nice and light to wear but get more comfy the longer you wear them.
