I absolutely love, love
I absolutely love, love, love these mixing bowls, lids and graters. I bought the red set and love the way the red looks in my red, white and black kitchen. The mixing bowls are made well. The silicone handles and bottoms are wonderful and the silicone keeps the bowl securely on the counter when mixing. The stainless steel is brushed on the outside and shinny on the inside. Each bowl is marked on the inside with markings for quarts and liters. Even though they are made great, II would use silicone spatula's and spoons so not to scratch the metal. When using the mixer I would just be aware to mix but not bang the mixer into the pan. They look like they will hold up great. I love that they have lids. All three bowls have lids. The only lid that has the pop out to use the grater with is the large mixing bowl. The graters look sturdy and made well also. I received it yesterday and had to use it right away and loved how they feel and they washed easily and stayed just as shinny when I was drying them. I know some reviewers said that the handles are smaller than pictured. Yes they are smaller and I was a little concerned if the handles would be comfortable enough for me when using. Well, yes they are. I believe the reason why they made them the shape they did is because they want the bowls to stack the best they can for storage and they do. All bowls stack well together and don't take up much space. I am so-o-o happy I bought these mixing bowls and I think the manufacturers have thought of everything to make the cook or baker very happy, even thinking about storage. Also, the set comes with a little card that say' Happy? and thanks you for your purchase and on the other side of card Not happy? Contact us immediately and we can take care of any problem you are having. You cannot ask for more than that. A great company that stands by their brand because they know they have thought of everything so you didn't have to. Very pleased. These mixing bowls will last me forever. I hope this reviews helps anyone who has questions. I myself count on reviews to purchase and that is why I try to write as much as I can to help others.

Excellent set of bowls
I bought these to replace my very old corning-pyrex princess bowls after I broke the largest. (These bowls were the set EVERYONE had in the 70's - 90's and were a great set of bowls - pouring spots on both sides, nested well, etc.) I loved them. There are similar 5 bowl sets now, but they run about $90.00I like this set even better than the pyrex set. These are much lighter, but don't slide while in use because of the rubber bottom. I use these both for baking, and as prep bowls for making soups/stews/fruit cobblers, etc. The inside measures are very handy for those kinds of recipes, which call for things like 4 cups of cut up cabbage, 8 cups of broth and the like. Saves a lot of washing up on measuring cups. The bowls are nice and wide, which is helpful when folding things in batters, or evenly mixing up a batch of dry ingredients, such as muesli. The stainless does scratch up on the inside with use, but I think this happens with all stainless bowls.I cook a lot, and use these daily. I've had them a few months now and they are holding up very well.I would only buy glass/ceramic bowls or stainless, so I can't compare to similarly priced plastic bowls, which may be an option to you. Also, I have a stand mixer I use for almost all beating/whipping. Not sure how these would hold up if you use a hand mixer in them constantly.

Flat bottom
This updates and confirms my previous review. First, the bowls' flat bottoms and "edge" where they begin to form the sides is poorly designed and made. This defect really prevents using even a spatula to scrape across the bottom and up the sides and prevents getting all of the dough, batter, or other stuff from the bowls' bottoms. Second, the bowls scratch far too easily; a metal spoon is needed to get the heavy dough, batter, and other items properly mixed. But the metal spoons, despite my care, create scratches. I would NOT buy this type of bowl again from this seller. Too bad these foreign made products are so inferior to what my mother and I had used for decades. I had been looking for a set of bowls to replace my old ones which I had had for over 30 years (quality lasts forever, but it seems that nowadays products are neither designed well nor made to last long enough) but had been lost in moving. This set does not meet my hopes. First the Pros: (1) The outside bottom surface is good in preventing the bowls from skidding around the countertop. (2) The metal is thick enough and not flimsy. (3) The handles and pour spout are good ideas. (4) The inside of the bowls, in a nice touch, show measurement levels for the volume (in both quarts and liters), but I cannot tell how long they will last (they do not seem "painted" on but seem imbedded slightly beneath the surface). Second the Cons: (1) The inside bottom of each bowl was a disappointment: it is flat with a "crease" where it meets the side wall. The bottom does not flow directly into the side wall like my old set. (Why any engineer would design such a bowl with a non-continuous interior surface escapes me.) It will be a bit difficult to use a scraper or spoon to get, e.g., the pancake batter up the sides of the bowl, for the spoon/scraper will get stuck at the junction of the bottom and the side wall. (At a friend's home, I had used recently this type of bowl and experienced that problem.) I had noticed in pictures of some other bowls at Amazon that the bottom and sides were not one continuous surface and rejected them. But the picture of these bowls looked, judging from the outside pictures, like the insides would be one continuous surface from the bottom upwards and would not have that "crease" where the flat bottom meets the side wall. I probably will return them and continue to seek truly rounded bowls. (2) I cannot tell how the handles are attached to the bowls, so I have no idea how long they would stay attached. Also, handles are all the same size; so for the larger bowl, the handle seems like it will not provide sufficient leverage or gripping space to lift and easily maneuver the bowl when it is loaded with batter or dough..
