Nice, thick twine. Almost too thick for the craft I needed it for. It is nice and strong. It does have some fraying, and it has some burnt pieces. I didnt mind for what I was using it for, it actually made my craft look more rustic and less "put together." Definitely quality jute for crafts and you get quite a big roll. I'm not sure what this is supposed to smell like, but it didnt bother me like it did others. Also, not sure why anyone would need/want to put this on skin, but this twine works very well for crafts! I will definitely be using it for future craft projects also!

This 4 ply jute is so wonderful because I could never truly find a thicker guage 4 ply locally as traditionally I found just the 3 ply for crafting. I love the fact its on a huge roll and enough to make many projects with the amount in yardage. ( yardage is 135 feet ! ) I bought it mainly for the use in grunge Christmas ornaments for hanging them on jute vs. oridinary string and that compliments the burlap from Amazon I bought for this project. This jute also makes nice doll hair for primitive crafts and ideas are endless however I wouldn't use this for jewelry making as the fiber isn't that strong and pulls apart fast with wear and tear. Its simply perfect for grunge crafts. I will definitely buy this product again. 5 stars.

I purchased this too hang a large glass pineapple lamp from the ceiling in a room that is decorated with a tropical flair. This just rope really fit the bill. The lamp is a heavy glass swag lamp from the 1950's and this rope is strong enough to hold it up. Don't really recall any problem with the rope shredding. I like the natural look of the roll so much, I still have what is left after hanging the lamp sitting on a table as a rough looking decoration. I have also used it as a belt for a pair of khaki shorts, just tied in a not in front. Give the shorts a casual, kind of tropical or safari look for summer. FUN!

Nice and thick, exactly as described, though it does have a chemical odor. I inspect it is treated with a pesticide to keep critters from eating it. I am Using it outdoors, so it is not an issue do me, but if you are chemically sensitive this may not be for you.

This stuff is great. I used it to wrap some ugly cords and it was the perfect size. Gave the cords a nice rustic look. The jute was not too big to be too bulky or heavy and not so small that the project took forever. It is on the thicker side, so if you want a sleeker, less rustic look, I would go with something thinner.

This is a great product, looks nice, well made, no odor, thicker than I expected so made it even better. I would buy it again and I do recommend it. It has a ton a different uses around the house. The price is well worth it, a real bargin.

This rope is just okay. I used it to wrap a magazine holder and a 7” x 7” x 6” box for decor and while it came out looking nice, I did run into some problems. First, I really doubt that this skein is 135 ft. long. One skein could only cover the box and half the magazine holder (pictured), so if I had to guess, I’d say one skein is only about 50 ft. long. And as other reviewers have mentioned, the length of the rope is not continuous. There are at least 3 parts that are roughly tied together in a knot that looks unappealing and may cause some problems with sturdiness if you’re using it to hang something heavy. It also comes with a strong cigarette smoke smell. It dissipates after leaving it out for a week, but working with it was almost unbearable and it made my bedroom smell for a couple days. But despite these cosmetic issues, the rope does seem sturdy (in places where it’s not tied) and sheds minimally.

Good deal nice and thick use it for a lot of crafts.
