Buy it for sure
I used to buy melaleuca but let’s be really real…it’s a rip off that doesn’t actually save you money lol. So I got some junk wash fluid at dollar general. It was disgusting and chemical hell. I’ve used other biokleen products so when I came across this I knew I had to get it because that cheap junk from the store was making me sick to even smell it. This biokleen dish washer machine liquid is everything I wanted and more ! Will buy again and again.I did get a very annoying bottle though… it opens towards the handle and is a total PITA to dispense ! But I’ve worked around it. There are bigger issues in the world and maybe the next bottle will be different

NO
You may as well just handwash everything before you put it in your dishwasher. I don't leave food in my plates and I do rinse them but this product does not clean them. It makes them smell great, but also leaves everything on them.

Love it! Works great!
I love this detergent! It is not toxic and doesnt strip the color off of my gold silverware like my sisters detergent has done!If you are not aware of EWG as a rating system then look it up! You can check the toxicity of all sorts of household products, personal care products and cleaning products. I found this through the highly rated products on their site so I knew it was going to be safe for my kids!

Decent, but sometimes leaves a film on glassware
I was looking for a slightly less "chemically" dishwasher detergent. This one has a decent scent, but it does smell a little plastic-y. It is not a very strong cleaner. Some of the dishes with a little bit tougher of food residue does not come off very well, and I must had-wash it instead. It also sometimes leaves a bit of a film on glassware.

Not the best
There are better dishwasher detergents available.I’ve used other bikleen products in the past. All of them are just meh.I typically use seventh generation. It’s more expensive but it works betterThe gallon jug of biokleen always had a crust around the lid. It also didn’t last long. It did t clean as well as seventh generation

Very efficient, in the long run!
I need to review this for a couple of reasons. I bought this sized bottle back in 2017. I am just NOW reordering. I average two, loads a week. I just moved from a home with an older less efficient dishwasher to a 3 year old home fitted with high efficiency. This prompts me to post, hey! Don’t judge the dishwashing gel, you maybe need to consider what you are pouring this great product into! It’s been two years worth of value, it worked so-so in my so-So former dishwasher, but is amazing and spot free on my new dishwasher! Two years on bottle. Do the math! High.t recommend, and love Biokleen, et al.

Non-toxic, but it doesn't work very well at removing stuff from dirty dishes
This was our first try at using an automatic dishwasher liquid that was non-toxic. I really wanted something non-toxic because we wash our baby's bottles in the dishwasher everyday. With regular dishwasher soap, I was noticing this soap residue being left behind on the parts and I would rinse them again after they were cleaned to make sure all that stuff was removed. Thinking about the kinds of residues left behind, I started worrying about them. Hence, the non-toxic soap. This soap is specifically made for automatic dishwashers, but I have not attempted to put it into our automatic soap dispenser reservoir built into the washer. I'm not sure how it would perform in there. We just squirt it into the little hatch right up to the line and it seems to be enough. I think it says to add 2 tablespoons, but I just eyeball it.There is hardly any scent associated with this soap, not that I was looking for a scented soap anyway. It seems to wash away pretty clean, but I do notice some residue still, just not as much as our previous soap. It's not even a soapy residue, almost like it leaves pieces/chunks of the gel as it gets swished around. You can visually see little clumps of white gel accumulating on the overturned pieces or on the back of cups. It's not effective at all for caked on food. You really need to scrub away at your dishes before putting them into the dishwasher. To me, it kind of defeats the purpose since I'm practically washing my dishes before putting them in. Luckily, since most of what goes into the dishwasher are baby bottles and those just rinse clean, it's not too hard to do. I can't imagine trying to do this with a large family.I do like that it is non-toxic and pretty safe for my family, but it's just not effective enough. I've tried adding in natural cleaners like white vinegar and baking soda to help it clean better, but it's still about the same. It does leave a slight cloudiness to some of my glassware, as well. I have also noticed that it leaves behind residue on the bottom of my dishwasher, similar to soap scum, but not exactly the same thing.Going to continue my quest to find a non-toxic dishwasher soap that works.

I can't stress enough how good this is
I can't stress enough how good this is!!! I no longer have to sit outside while the dishwasher runs. It has a natural citrus smell and it cleans the dishes very well!!! It can be a bit expensive but honestly it's worth it.
