Garden Chalet Cedar Shed Now

Though I purchased this at a lower price somewhere else, I will nevertheless sing its praises on various websites. The shed arrived in perfect condition after being shipped from British Columbia to Georgia. There were three boxes, each weighing about 100 lbs., all loaded on one pallet.The floor, preassembled, went down first. That took the most time as leveling was somewhat time consuming since it needed to be done correctly. After the floor was leveled, the walls went up easily. One person is needed to hold the wall panels upright while the second person screws down the wall onto the floor panel. Each wall was easily erected, making sure the alignment is done properly. The directions are very clear on this point.After the walls are up, some simple roof finishing is performed prior to lifting the roof onto the wall sections. After aligning the roof properly, screwing it down is a simple process. Then comes the shelving, doors, and trim sections. The kit comes with a tape measure/level/notepad combination, and a screw bit for the square-drive screw head. Very nice! There are more than enough screws and finish nails included. I used a couple pieces of the large cardboard boxes that the shed was packaged in to lay on the ground and perform the assembly on top of. This prevented losing any hardware in the grass. Also, I recommend sawhorses to keep from squatting on the ground while doing some of the assembly. It took two of us about 4 hours to complete assembly, including water breaks.All major panels are preassembled, making construction quick and easy. It's a well engineered product, well made, and it looks great. Highly recommended!

I love the look of this shed and thought I would check out Amazon.com's pricing as they are usually the best. In this case, however, lowes.com and homedepot.com sell this exact shed for $999. And in Canada it is $1050. Still less than this one.

This shed kit was well designed and had very thorough instructions. The materials were well-prepared and the end product turned out great. It's not probably a kit for novices and does require a certain amount of ability in assembling. It helps if you have a general sense of how to put things together.

Where do I start. This shed kit is great and OLT has a wonderful product and great customer service. I don't know why there is only two, pretty negative, reviews. If you are having doubts, check out the reviews on the homedepot site. OLT lets you know what to expect from shipping to recommendations for painting/staining and putting in a solid base. The assembly video gives you a heads up on what's involved and the instructions are thorough. Each step is cross referenced to parts that are labeled. There are lots of "expert advise" blocks in the assembly instructions that really came in handy. It took my husband and me about a day to put in the paver base and two half days to stain all the pieces. The assembly took a full day, but we were kinda taking it easy and not rushing.
