Great, lightweight, past pitch shelter.
I bought this poncho mainly as a quick deploy basic shelter to get out of the rain and wind when out hiking with my missus. It weighs about 600g Inc the pegs, bag and guy lines. After a couple of times if putting this up I can put it up in about 90 secs if I'm rushing.I always hike with walking poles so it's ideal for me.I used it in rainy weather last week in the Lake District. On our way down from the fells we stopped in a woodland for a brew and a snack and it was raining on and off. So I threw this up and we were both able to sit underneath nearer to the walking pole and have loads of head height and we stayed dry.I may use it as a poncho if I ever get caught out but it's most likely to be used as a make shift shelter as in the photos I've included that I took last week. If I was to make one observation for improvement, I'd say the arm holes that are vents when used as a shelter, could do with velcro attachments within them so you can close them down and stop any rain blowing in from the sides. Other than that, it's spot on. I do plan to also use it this summer with a large pyramid style bugnet (from sea to summit) which weighs about 90g, a 560g sleep pad, inflatable pillow which is 90g and a 1.1 kg sleeping bag. So a more or less sub 2.5kg complete shelter and sleep system without the walking pole. I could use a fallen branch or stick in a woodland. Due to my first bad weather use, it's speed of set up, it's very light weight, it's ability to blend quite well with woodland, overall versatility and the price I've given 5 stars. I may add an update to this review as I use it more throughout the summer, but so far I'm very impressed.

glad I have it but I have complaints
I use this as a tent, I've never really worn it as a poncho. Because of the design the sleeves are half-length so I don't feel like I can keep it as my only rain coat. It's great to have a light-weight single person tent. It is very cold with one entire side open but that's natural to the style and certainly keeps the ventilation good. I've actually bought a second one to be an emergency shelter for another person on hikes and thinking I might pitch two together but I haven't tried this yet as it is very fiddly to pitch even one: they stay up well and it is easy to get the hiking pole in the right position. The problem comes from using it with the bug-net inner that is designed to pair with it. Frankly I don't think these two products do match up well. It's hard to get the poncho to fully cover all corners of the bathtub floor and there is next to no overhang from the front causing me to worry that water will easily get to the inner.I have only used it briefly in light rain but it seems to work fine keeping the rain off. It is quite irritating needing to guy out the sleeves as vents so they don't flap around. Especially since unless you use two together the tent is open the whole front and therefore needs very little extra ventilation!I probably use this more on hikes or wild camps than any other tent and it is very very affordable relative to other ultralight shelter options. The colour is perfect for stealth and it looks great. Not sure how fashionable it is as a jacket! stealth camping: see photo where you can barely see the tent. Not an intuitive choice for a product photo but very relevant here.

As always, brilliant quality at a low price.
Image is just to highlight that those little black carabiners are perfect for the guy line points on the shelter itself: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08XJDWX9G?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailsAs a poncho, I tested it with and without a full on field Burgan. Without, it's just about enough clearance to not drag on the ground when walking if you are 5ft 9. Anything above = perfect but I would tie up the bottom about a foot if I was any shorter. With a Burgan or any medium to large pack this is absolutely perfect! Mine even has side pouches and everything is still covered. As a shelter, I am yet to take it into a windy environment but it's had some abuse already and still looks new. Enough space for me by far inside. I am using my Polish Lavuu pole set (2 x 3 piece/sections) and this is also in my opinion a perfect solution unless you walk lop sided and need one hiking pole. You can have it high up or remove a pole piece or two and have a cozy little night shelter. For ground sheet I am using my Cosmitto footprint for the floor and with a few tweaks and folds it also fits really well inside. These are just recommendations, you may have better solutions but this works well for me when ultralight camping.I very much recommend this product for anything. I'm currently using for bicycle camping as it fits a small pack really well and leaves loads of room for other important things.

Not a great poncho, not a great tent, better than nothing.
I used this on a rainy day hiking through some wooded hills with a medium sized backpack. You will find that this is very loose, baggy and catching on underbrush and branches. It does keep the rain off but if you're moving you will get sweaty. As a tent it's too open, again better than nothing but it's not ideal, especially as it's designed to be pitched in a specific way, compared to a military poncho which can be pitched in several ways.It is however a great shelter in poncho form if you're not moving. For example if heavy rain starts, you can throw it on and if you're not planning on moving around it's great.
