Maxxis Dth Folding Dual Compound Silkworm Tyre

Have had these for one month and as of this writing, 478 miles. They still have the mfg 'nubbies' on them so it appears they wear well The ride is very smooth and the bike handles great. Quantifier - I only ride on streets, no trails.Update -Today the tires reached the 800 mile barrier. The nubbies have worn off, but the tread is still in excellent condition. No changes to my rating. I will highly recommend these.

Was a tad worried that the 26x2.3 wouldn't fit on my Trek 6000 bike but they fit PERFECTLY. I am running a Fox 125 RLC in the front and no clearance issues with the fork. In the back I was worried it would clear the frame but they actually fit better than the 26x2.24 WTB Raptor tires I had on there previously. I am running SunRIngle Rhyno Lite XL rims and I needed the big tire to fit/look ok with those big DH rims. So far, they roll smooth and quiet and will help me put more energy into speed/endurance than howling down the pavement.

I already knew all about these tires when they released the 20 inch BMX version, so I kind of knew what to expect and they didn't let me down. Best tire ever! They're bigger than my old 2.0 (of course) but at the same time they're waaay lighter! And super easy to work with in case I get a flat tire, I don't even need tools to take them off the rims, I can do it by hand!

So i bought these at the recommendation of a insane mtb biker! They are SUPERB! Great for city communting..absolutly hug the asphalt wet or dry! I bike to wrk which is 15 kms..shaved off 10mins with these puppies on ! Had no problem setting them on my 26inch rims ...2ezy! they are really quiet tyre too ..hardly any rolling resistant as well! Geesh these are gr8! So if ur thinking of upgrading grab these puppies u wont be disapointed! Somebody call a vet these puppies are sick!

最近街乗りにハマりまして、ロード乗りによる『MTBでここを走ってんじゃねえよ！山行けよ！』的な視線にもすっかり慣れてきました。しかしクロスカントリーのタイヤでアスファルトを走るとタイヤの『ブー』ってカンジの音が耳につきます。音によって他車に不快を与えていたのかもしれません。摩耗も早そうだし。そこで、アスファルト用としてこちらのタイヤを買ってみました。転がり音は劇的に静かになりました。登り坂も楽になったような気がします(感覚は当てになりませんが)。タイヤの重量は決して軽くはありませんが、転がりは軽いです。評価するのはまだ早いかもしれませんが、MTBで街乗りするならいいタイヤなんではないでしょうか。好みを言えば、黄色の‘MAXXIS’の文字が大きすぎるので、文字サイズが半分だったらもっと見た目のバランスがよかったな、という事で満点から星を一つ減らしての星４つです。性能は申し分ないと思いますので、今度ダートに行ってみます。

以前はボントレガーのハンク（26×2.2）というタイヤを履いていた。特に不満は無かったが通学往復30キロのモチベーションを維持するためにも気分転換に新しいタイヤが欲しくなっていた。そこでロードバイクのタイヤがマキシスだった事もありMTBのタイヤもこれを選んだ。2.3とのことだが2.2サイズのハンクとあまり太さは変わらない（むしろ細い？）ダートジャンプのタイヤということもありトレッドのゴムは堅くフロントタイヤでもハードブレーキングをすれば容易にロックする。またサイドトレッドは角が立っているのでコーナーで本気で傾ければ外に流れてしまう。挙動限界に慣れた人向けだろうがここまで本気で曲がる馬鹿以外の人には特別問題では無いであろう。平地は思ったほど回らない。タイヤが軽いため慣性が少ないのだろう。その代わり登りではかなり楽にいける。驚いたのは雨の日だ。なんと驚くほど水が散ってこない。通学、通勤にMTBに乗る人。特に坂の多い郊外や地方に住んでいる人には特にオススメする。
