Men's American Heritage 11" Wellinton Round Toe, MAXwear 90 Safety Toe Boot

As a union electrician I support USA and union made items. I thought I would give these boots a try and was really pleased with how comfortable they are. However, I have worn these boots for ALMOST 3 months and now there is a good sized hole in them. I am disappointed and currently contacting the manufacturer hoping for a return/exchange. I typically wear through a pair of boots in about a year. 3 months is a ridiculous time period to create such a hole. I expect more out of a good pair of work boots.

These boots are amazing. As a commercial electrician, I'm on my feet all day long, walking on concrete, rock, mud and climbing up an down ladders. The break-in period on these boots was minimal maybe 2-3 days and they felt like my old favorite pair of boots. I was a long time Wolverine wearer, until my last two pairs feel apart rather quickly and their new insoles disintegrated within weeks. A buddy turned me on to Thorogood boots, so I decided to try them out. These boots have converted me to a Thorogood man, super comfortable, quality product, made in the usa and minimal break-in time.

1 week and both heals are becoming seperated Wet pour glue considering I’ve had boots 1 third the price that never came unglued. Super disappointing.

I hate to write this review because I needed to buy new boots for work, so I thought I would spend a lot more than normal and buy USA made boots. Honestly this is the most I've ever spent on any boots and they are the worst boots ever to be on my feet. The first day I wore them, it was a very light day of work and half way through the day I got bad blisters on my heel. The fit is too loose and the heel is extremely rough on the middle seam. I bought some expensive inserts hoping that would help and it did make them fir better but the next day the boots still just tore my heel apart. I don't even do too much walking or anything at work. I hope they'll refund me, but I'm not counting on it. From now on I'll stick to what I've always believed, that spending more doesn't mean you get a better product. In this case it got me the worst boot I've ever worn.

I took a gamble, according to the Feedback the boots ran a little large I purchased exactly what I normally wear and they fit like a glove the best pair of boots I’ve owned. Comfortable right out of the box, very well-made, made in America, that explains the quality and the comfort of this boot, I am a very happy camper, thank you, there is nothing negative to say about these boots.

Made my very first purchase of these fine lookin boot's ! Can't say how comfortable or how warm , water proof they are because they were to small ! I usually wear a 9.5 normal . That's the size I ordered and they were to tight on width and length . I can honestly say they look quality put together boots , made with high quality leather ! I will have to reorder and may need to jump up to a mens 10 in size . This is odd for me to have this happen ! I always order 9.5 in almost every shoe/boot purchase I make . After sending back , I was thinking maybe the wrong size was sent by mistake but I never actually looked at the size on the boot's , just tried to put them on and put straight back into box .

I've had these about 9 months to 1 year now. Very comfortable, durable boot so far. I selected 4 stars for the boots because, while they're great boots, I think they're overpriced. Mine are steel toe and fit true to size. I actually ordered a half size too large thinking they'd run a little small. They arrived about a half size too large, so they should fit true to size. I ordered wide and it's plenty wide and roomy, but snug enough. I put a very thin insert in them to go along with the factory insoles and they fit well. I worked in them walking concrete all day as well as regular day to day use and they're holding up strong so far. When I got them I put a coat of Fiebing's Snow Proof Weather Proofing Leather Conditioner on them and its helped waterproof them. Keep in mind if you do this you kinda mess up the finish on the boots, and it'll leave them a darker color.

Its always good to have low expectations. I have chronic foot pain and don't expect shoes to feel good for very long. I needed some work boots and gave these try after reading the previous reviews. These arrived promptly and were packaged well. I tried them on the in the house for a few days. Boots were comfortable with a good fit thru the toe box and mid foot. They do slide in the heel but this doesn't bother me. The safety toe is comfortable. Well made. Good leather. I have worn them all day and don't have heel pain. I will buy again.
