Great race tire
I just started racing cross, and admittedly have lots to learn about tires. I did 6 races this past fall. My first 3 races were on the stock tires that came on my bike (Vittoria Cross XG Pro in new condition). Those tires felt fast, but just weren't inspiring any confidence in the corners, grass, mud, slippery climbs, or off camber sections. So basically, no confidence while racing! When the conditions got wet, the tires just weren't doing it. They're not bad for mixed gravel/paved road or low speed recreational rides.Switch to the Michelin Mud 2 tires, and it was practically a revelation. I could stick a line so much better through corners and off camber sections. I was able to carry more speed through the corners without fear of the front wheel washing out, which in turn meant less effort accelerating out of corners to get back up to speed. The increased traction coupled with my disc brakes also meant that I could wait until the last second before scrubbing speed going into corners. It simply translated into a much more enjoyable (as much as that can be said about cross racing!) racing experience.I weigh about 145 and was running these around 30psi front and 32psi rear. I also followed the directional arrows for front and rear. Running the rear in the recommended direction, I had good forward traction, but could also could use some english to drift it out around the corners with pretty good control, while the front tire stuck to its line. I got no pinch flats so maybe I can run them at a little lower pressure. In any case I'm going to convert them to tubeless and am very excited to see what happens.

Can't ask for more
Fantastic tire for cross. Great performance on grass and mud, roll nice and fast on pavement, even work fairly well on some moderately rough single-track. The only time I have ever slipped these tires is a sharp turn on a layer of long-leaf pine straw, and I can't imagine anything short of a knobby MTB tire making it any easier. The tires are supple and controllable without too much rolling resistance. They were very easy to get on and off standard aluminum rims; I managed without a lever. They are in the middle of the cross tire price range, and I have never tried the Tufos or Schwalbes, but I can't imagine a tire being much better than this for the money.

It was a long shot purchase, trying to get around from buying a cross bike this year and wanted to see if these would work on my current road bike. but they are just a smigg too wide and tall. I'll keep them for the cross bike purchase and post something about them.

Grippy, not the easiest tubless setup
These were hard to setup tubeless, but eventually they worked. I had to install them with a tube first though and leave them for a week to get the bead to conform to the rim shape. It was only after that that they would quite leaking from the bead. Once mounted, they were great tires, fast(ish) rolling and grippy. They're no clement tubulars, but they're also clinchers and a third of the price.

Good tire for CX, plus it can be used in a tubeless setup.
These have been my CX race-day tires for 3 seasons in New England weather. I have used them with tubes, I typically run them (psi) low 30's up front, and high 30's in the back. Bike + self are about 180 pounds. They are very supple tires, and find them very predictable in the wet grass, light mud (haven't experienced deep/heavy mud). On loose dry dirt/gravel/sandy they are not as predictable but I have managed to stay mostly upright.I would not use these for everyday, road use - I don't think they will last many miles (plus they are not designed for the road). This week I tried to convert them tubeless (Mavic Aksium + two layers of tape + Stan's valve stem & sealant). One of the tires I could not since it had a decent size sidewall cut, but keep in mind that was after 3 seasons of racing. The other tire was in much better shape, and have successfully converted it. So it is possible for this tire be used as tubeless.

All around slop tire!
Amazing tires! great in the mud, light, easy to install, plenty of grip. Can get clogged up a bit, but perfect all around tire for sloppier conditions

Good all around cross tire if you don't want to ...
Good all around cross tire if you don't want to keep changing them based on the conditions. Have used them successfully on grassy, hard pack, greasy mud, snow. In fact they seemed to excel in the really soft greasy mud. Currently run them tubeless on Easton XD90 tubeless rims, a bit of pain to set up as I needed to run them with a tube for a bit to get the shape set so they would seat properly. They haven't got me a win yet but that may be more of the person pushing the pedal's fault!

Temporary tire
Wow! The tread wore off these tires REALLY FAST! After relatively few miles (maybe 400-500) I now have very bald tires. The previous pair of Specialized tires that lasted FOREVER. Well over ten years of riding. This set lasted less than one summer.

Wore out completely after one season
Not worth it. Buy something else. I hate this tire. It is a really bad tire that should be stopped.
