that failed after 3 years of occasional use & most of its time in a drawer in the bathroom. Read several descriptions and reviews and decided to buy this one. I like the features and ease of use. The accuracy is very good for people, but I have not used it for objects or food yet so I cannot give any opinion on those features.

I use this thermometer on a daily basis and it works great! So far, I’ve not received an inaccurate reading as others have indicate they received. It’s quick and easy to use and has been extremely reliable for me.

Nicely designed and built. Easy to use. Seems to read lower temperature on my forehead than the direct contact thermometers by about 2 deg F.

Product replaced a touch thermometer which was had a very inconsistent temp readout. The non touch thermometer was much easier to use with an immediate readout. However this advantage was negated by an inaccurate temp readout. I notifiied Amazon and received a very quick replacement which appears to be very accurate. So my rating is for the replacement thermometer.

My old thermometer kept reading 96.3 on everyone so I realized at 7 years old its probably time for a new one.I have checked this with other thermometers and it is very accurate. It's kind of neat that you can take the temp of the room or even things in the room. There is a setting for people and one for other. Great thermometer.

This thermometer is easy to understand and easy to use, and might I say fun to use!

the reading was not accurate. temp registered when used it says normal, but the patient was really hot to touch.

This product consistently measured 97.1 degrees from my forehead, while my actual temperature is 98.6.I don’t think the surface of your forehead is ever the same as under your tongue.So what I did is re-calibrate the device using the Seller’s comments...with one exception...I used my forehead instead of 98.6 water.It was a little confusing for me to follow the sellers instructions due to the language translation and wording that they chose, so I took the liberty to re-translate. Hope this helps others.....Disclaimer : Your device will no longer be accurate after adjustment using your forehead as a means of calibration.This is how I adjusted my device.1. Place the inaccurate device at an ambient temperature of approximately 73.4-80.6°F for more than 1 hour.2. Add a certain proportion of hot water and tap water to the container, and use an accurate thermometer to monitor the temperature of the water in the container until the temperature of the tap water and hot water is 98.6±0.1F. (I used my forehead)3. Turn on the device and press the buttons "MEM", "CF", "MEM", "CF", and "MODE" in sequence, the machine will enter the calibration mode at this time. Align the lense of the device with the “warm water in the container” (I used my forehead) for about 3-5 seconds, and then press and hold the trigger until you hear a "beep" (after the trigger beep) and then release the button.4. After calibration, use the trigger to measure your forehead to see if the measurement result is around 98.6 degrees F......done.
