Perfect for the price.
The unit had a pretty decent sized battery charge. I fully charged it over night, and charged my iPhone from 20% to 100% by using the 2.0a and my skull candy wireless headphones with the 1.0a and it only dropped by 1 indicator light. The phone charged probably in 2hrs or so? I really didn't keep track of it.The "rainproof" feature is probably accurate. I had left my unit in the sun and went out to dinner. However, a nasty rainstorm kicked up for 2 hrs and this product got soaked. It still operated perfectly fine and I see no indication of water damaging it.The reason I gave it 4 v 5 stars is for the following reasons:(1) the instructions were written in horrific "English." Basically, the author put words together and very few make any sense. It doesn't take much to have someone translate your instructions clearly, invest the money properly and show your customers that you're professional. If you're trying to cut overhead, use google translate then. These were very, very bad.(2) the flashlight is pretty poor. However, I doubt buying this item for a flashlight is on the top of everyone's list.(3) I can't see anyway to tell if the solar panel is in fact charging the unit or not. When charging, they should have programmed the LEDS to sequence to the amount of battery level. So if your unit is ¾ charged, then sequence the lights 1-2-3 to show its working. I know the solar won't charge this unit fast by any means, but give the consumer some indication it's working. I left it in the Florida sun for 4 hrs and have no idea whether it's doing anything or not.

Works okay. Battery is more like 7,500mAh, and solar is for emergency only. It's worth $20, but not a cent more.
This product is pretty cool. The solar panel on it is real (tested leads with a multimeter), but it won't fill the battery with energy very fast.I purchased this because I wanted a way to charge my small electronics using solar energy. I realized that it said that the solar panel was only supposed to be used to provide power in emergency situations, but I figured if I left it sitting out in the sun long enough, it would reach full capacity, which it did not, even after 3 days of direct sun exposure.I thought that maybe the panel wasn't providing the energy to the battery pack, but measured the leads with a multimeter to verify. It would seem that either the chip is really inefficient, or perhaps its the battery itself. Either way, the energy transfer from the panel to the battery pack is abysmal. As a battery pack, it works okay. I found that it isn't very efficient. The quoted rating on the battery is for 15,000mAh, but I found it was rare if I could get more than 7,500-8,500 mAh from it. (It would only charge and iPhone 5 2-3 times before being depleted completely. There is a microcontroller inside the casing that has disables power output from the USB ports if it feels that the battery level is insufficient. This is particularly aggravating, as the LEDs on the back will illuminate, but the power to the ports will essentially be "turned off." If they could fix this, so that power will be supplied to the ports, regardless of what the chip "thinks" the battery level is at, then this would work a lot better.Still, the 3-star rating is because the battery capacity is nowhere near what the manufacturer claims. Even with several "repair cycles," I couldn't get the capacity near the quoted 15,000 mAh rating. Seller was prompt in return, and would purchase a different product from them in the future.

Great Capacity - Practically non-existant solar charging
Charges from the wall great, charges my phone at least 3 times from near dead. The flashlight is pretty bright. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the solar charging capabilities are very much lacking. I live in a very sunny place all year long, had this sitting in sunlight for 5 days and the battery indicator never moved from blinking on the second indicator. Not a big deal really, I didn't think such a small panel would be able to charge this size battery efficiently, but wanted to include it in my review so that others know.

2 thumbs up
This is going to be a very short review....I really only have one thing to say. This thing saved my "back" (trying to keep this PG rated) COUNTLESS times...Solar charge is slow (obviously) but good to have just in case of "zombie apocalypse".It holds the charge for weeks so you can put it in your bag and literally forget about it. But it WILL be there ready to be used when you need it, which is good because we already have enough problems with everything else we need to recharge on a daily basis. Also 15K Mah it's an awful lot of power.and that helps too

I do not recommend this charger to anyone.
This is one of the worst chargers I have ever purchased. Within a few months of my purchase, I had this item replaced due to problems with the charger. I received a replacement unit from the seller, however the replacement gave me more problems, therefore I feel they are selling a product which appears to be defective from the factory. One of the problem was that it if you attempted to charge this unit while you had a device connected to it, the charger would stop working completely. The other problems is that sometimes the Solar power charging worked, but most of the times it did not.

disappointed
I have had this about 90 days and have used it a total of 6 times to charge my iphone. From day one the solar panel is a joke. I tried leaving it in direct sunlight for 10 hours and it did not charge. Now when plugged into a 120v line for recharge it will only charge 50% (based on blue LED indicators).I do like the color and sturdy feel of the product - but in the end it did not deliver on the product promise
