Rothco MOLLE Compatible 1 Quart Canteen Pouch/Cover, Black

My canteen cover arrived as described. It is MOLLE compatible; I use speed clips to attach it to my backpack. My canteen fits a little loosely in it, but it hasn't fallen out. I can get the canteen in and out easily when I unclip the snap. The bottom of the cover is mesh, so water doesn't pool if the canteen sweats. Basically, this make it much easier and faster to get my canteen out of my backpack. It also protects the contents of my backpack from getting wet from a canteen.

Needed an extra for short treks where I didn't need a pack with full size bladder. Rothco makes a good product and I have quite a few of their products mixed in with my GI gear. Very satisfied!

basically strong construction, but size is a bit too large for a 1qt but not large enough for a 2qt. close straps are very stretchy elastic and not adjustable. there are no molle straps included. i used some molle straps from another unit to make it work, but the size and relatively loose elastic make it very very floppy with a standard 1 qt canteen. sorry but i cannot recommend this particular product.

This is an excellent canteen cover for attaching to a MOLLE system item like a pack. I was a little surprised by the lack of a belt loop, but it really does not claim to have one in its description-its MOLLE compatable, not a universal attachment. It will work well for what I bought it for.

It is a really nice cover; well made and roomy enough for canteen, cup and stove. The only problem is I have nice fingernails (not long, just a normal nice length) and there is NO way I can open the clip due to my nails. I have to get the multi-tool out and use the pliers to get it open....can't go around doing that, so I am going to have to find a way to improvise the clip...ugg.

I have camel back hydration bladders and I hate how they always smell and taste funky. I love how this lets me go on a ruck run with an old school canteen. This is the way Chesty Puller would have it.

Leaked all over my car seat 😡 No seal in cap. I put plastic between the cap and tightn it down to prevent leaking. Shouldn't have to when u pay for a new product.

I haven't had a chance to test these, but I did want to point out that mine came with the molle straps. I didn't need speed clips or straps like others have indicated.
