This new bike has potential. But the handlebars seem odd, and I would l like a more "mtn. bike" feel. Is there enough adjustment?

The handlebars are not good for a mountain bike grip. The outer curve twists your hand and the inner straight bar rubs your knuckles.

Can you connect to other apps like swift?

The bike only connects with MyCloudFitness to track what you're doing on the bike, it starts tracking when you slog in & start pedaling. However, on a phone, tablet & TV I use other Apps, including my own gym's virtual classes. So, I have MyCloudFitness by default & whatever other App(s) I want for a particular ride.

Can you change out the pedals for clips?

Yes you can change the pedals to clips.

Is this a good bike for beginners? I am having knew replacement and looking for a stationary bike to help me get my new knee back in shape.

This is a great bike. I was looking for a Peloton grade bike but didn’t need or want the electronic experience that is part of it. This bike is sturdy, solid and is easy to operate and you get their app for free I will say that even level 1 is not as easy as some I’ve used at gyms. I saw another post with a similar comment and the manufacturer helped them adjust the resistance. I am 70 years old and if I can do it I figure most can, but keep that in mind if rehab is your goal.
