Just what the patient needed.
Because of a spinal injury plus nerve damage I have trouble with my legs (swelling and balance etc.) I've been using a cane for more than a year because crutches sold here in Japan are too short for me. I finally decided to try amazon (US). I couldn't get them sent directly (I don't know what that problem is) so I had them re-shipped to me here. They're heavier than i thought, but other than that, I wish I'd ordered them much sooner. I'm still getting used to them and except for dropping one when I need a free hand, they seem to work well for me. Want a 'con'? I wish the handles had more cushioning. For this price, what'ya gonna complain about?

I love these crutches!
I have been using silver-colored Lumex forearm crutches with triangular ortho-ease since 1979. I had hip replacement surgery in 1988 and took a little time off without them. After helping my dear old mom, I broke a bone around the implant and had to eventually dig out my old crutches. As my original pair was wearing out, I ordered a newer model, bronze with triangular ortho-ease grips. They looked like an updated bronze-colored version. The originals were US-made and the new ones came from China. Even with a few improvements, they didn't quite measure up, until I got my 6341A model today. The new ones I got in April 3013 have a round rubber grip and they are silver-colored aluminum and they seem more solid than the bronze ones. I liked the triangular grip, but the newest ones have a rubber-coated grip that is easier on my tired hands. The tips are hexagon-shaped and smaller, but feel solid. Even the paint on the forearm cuff seems cushioned. I got size large, but had to gently open up the cuff, but the coating is still intact. Overall, these are the best ones yet, since my very first pair. Before the forearm crutches, I had used the wooden, under-the-armpit crutches and I hated them from the start. After the bronze-colored model felt flimsy, I have tried another make and model, but I came back to the silver-colored model from Lumex. I considered buying them from a local medical supply house, but they wanted $60 for the child's size and I couldn't get replacement tips from them or anybody locally, so... back to Amazon. And, I'm glad I did because... within an hour, I ordered one more pair of these newest ones, as a backup. The price, from Medex on Amazon, is the best I have seen yet and I'm not sure when I'll see a price and delivery this good again. Oh yeah, I was thinking they hadn't been shipped yet. They were supposed to be here as early as Friday at the earliest estimate. Today is Wednesday and they were here before 1 PM. Great service and a great product, which arrived in excellent condition. I'm already a repeat customer. :D

Unfortunate
This is unfortunate. First, the item didn't arrive. They were helpful and sent another- though now I wish I would have just chosen a refund. The arm bands do not flex, as advertised.I am tiny, and the crutches were heavy and the arm bands loose. As a result, I actually strained my wrist. As I am non weight bearing on my leg, that greatly hampered my mobility even further. To top it off, this item is not eligible for return.I have a script, so I should have gone to an actual med supply store. Being non-weight bearing, I was having a hard time, however, and was excited that I could find something online. That was unfortunate.

Much better than traditional crutches if you dont have upper arm strength
Works so much better than traditional crutches which I have used for years but cannot use anymore. Cuffs are really big on me and you must be careful on tile or laminate floors as tips suction down and stick.

Not For Me but...
They are a quality product. Strong and quiet, they don't rattle and clank. Highly adjustable. Great tips for someone who is recovering from an injury and might use them for a short time. Fantastic bargain.I had to try them for $20 and glad I did but I much prefer underarm crutches. I lost my right leg above the knee in 1967 and use crutches when not wearing my prosthetic. I walk everyday, 3 miles, which I do in an hour. A decent cardio work out. I'm much more stable on the underarm crutches and they are easier on my hands. I can carry things that would be impossible with forearm crutches. Just one old pros opinion. But these Lumex crutches may be what you prefer and you can't go wrong at this price.

Easy to adjust
Easy to adjust, but the grips are solid plastic and make my hands sore. The tips wore out fairly quickly but they're a standard size and easy to replace

Forearm crutches
Only shortcoming was description accuracy. Wanted lighter than what I had. Thought this be it but NO.. turned out to be identical to what I had... Drats! Otherwise.. it's a quality product.

Solid build!
Work fine. If you are less than 5' 9" tall, get the smaller set. I have mine on the last adjustment notches.Update... Now that I am using these full time, I (like others) find the grips to be hard and can cause some fatigue in your hands but I found a good solution. I simply use the stretchy self adhesive medical wrap ( 1 or 1 and 1/2 inch) and wrap it around the grips about 3 layers deep. Once they get dirty (and they will) simply replace the wrap. Works great plus gives you an even better grip. Hope that helps.
