Excellent for water protection and dexterity above ~25 degrees
I use these for hiking in medium-difficulty terrain down to about 20/25 degrees and they are awesome. They've been through rain, snow and ice, and they perform perfectly. They are as dexterous as any other waterproof glove i've tried, and they are great for climbing over boulders and up steep scree (I don't really do anything more technical than that). The only caveat: the outer layer on these is really only water-resistant. There is a waterproof inner layer, so your hands will never actually get wet (i've run them under the faucet for 5 minutes, hands perfectly dry). But in heavy rain the outer layer will soak up moisture. Once they get wet, they are not hardly as warm. For that reason, I would not take these out if I was expecting temps below 30 degrees plus heavy rain. Above 30 degrees, bring it on. No rain, they are fine down to about 20 degrees. Colder than that, I bring out the big gloves.

Best gloves
I have ugg and other hesta gloves and these are the best fitting. They are warm but allows you have manual dexterity when on.

high price high quality
Hestra makes high quality gloves, these were for cycling since they are light, with excellent dexterity. Good for temps in mid 40s and up. I easily get cold hands, so mid 30s I need something with more volume. They should last a long time, not bad for running around in car or town either, look good, I am sold.
