Hamax Outback One Seat Reclining Multi-Sport Child Bike Trailer + Stroller (Jogger Wheel Sold Separately)

.. I researched these trailers in depth - upgrading from an old Schwinn. Our situation is unique, we have an almost 6 year old autistic grandson that I ride with for satisfying sensory needs. He is small for a 6 year old, but this trailer was the largest and safest rated on the market in this category. It is well built, safe, and comfortable. It tows very smoothly and the suspension is a huge bonus. It is heavy compared to many others - but I am adjusting to that. It is heavy because it is sturdy and well built. I’m not super crazy about how the rain, wind, and sun screens are stored .. but it’s a minor. If you need a larger one person trailer, that is safe and comfortable- this Is the one.

This is an amazing bike buggy/ stroller strong and safe with lots of room and very comfortable for our disabled granddaughter. The only thing is the plastic windows on the sides are discolored in one spot it almost looks like it’s burnt but it’s not it came that way. Otherwise this is the best thing I’ve gotten I put it on my E bike and ride all over she loves it

I live near a mountain theirs a lot of wild life from bugs to bigger animals. I love how protected she is in her stroller. I do wish it would have came with an option to go ahead and get the running wheel 🛞. But over all it’s great quality very spacious and I know I’ll be able to keep using it as she gets older or if we have another little one. 💗

This is exactly what I was searching for. I have a tall 4 YO and really wanted to find a trainer for her. I tried a Burley and sold it after 2 weeks. This is much better. Not only the fit, but the quality is SOOO much nicer. The floor is solid, and frame is sturdy. Shocks make for a smooth ride. Its also very nice that the zipper keeps everything inside. You don't have to worry so much. I did a lot of research to find this one, and it measures up. Highly recommend if you are not a fan of Burley.

The media could not be loaded. Update after receiving replacement:Pros:The seats recline more than other trailers and the ventilation is great. There are vents on the bottom corners and the back so even with the plastic cover zipped closed, there is still air flow. Some of the trailers lack adequate ventilation in the back and the child can overheat.There is a large compartment in the back for a lot of items. We dropped in all of our helmets, child cooler, drinks, and bike supplies in the back without problems and it has a zipper + velcro. There was plenty of room leftover for hammocks, small tent and other things if you were to go bike packing.The bench seats are solid. There is no sagging seat like most trailers and there is so much padding for the child.The mesh netting and plastic cover are very easy to zip closed or open. Each has duel zippers.Taking apart the wheels and collapsing the trailer is very easy and very quick.Well-built. The stroller wheel is heavy and solid. Even the flag that comes with the trailer is thick.Cons:The sturdiness and weight makes us feel like our child is very safe but it is also this trailer's biggest weakness. This trailer is heavier than others so if you are looking for something lightweight, you should go with other brands. We have moderate hills here and I did not find it difficult but others may feel different. This trailer does give me a feeling that our child is very safe if an accident should happen.The sun shade is fixed to the top portion of the trailer so if the sun is lower in the day, it does not offer as much protection for the child. Other trailers allow the sunshade to be adjusted.Collapsing the trailer doesn't seem to lock it in place so when lifting it into the trunk of a car, you need to be mindful how you hold the trailer.In summary: We received a replacement trailer quickly without any issues. the packaging was great this time. We used the trailer yesterday and really enjoy it. When we first researched trailers, we were hesitant to buy this because of the weight but it's not a problem unless a person is pedaling up a very steep hill. The trailer feels smooth, really sturdy and well-built. This is a premium product and the materials feel nicer than anything Thule or Burley have to offer. We are glad to buy it because it looks like it could take a beating and our child will be very safe and very comfortable. The trailer rolls smoothly when hooked onto a bike. And when used as a stroller, it is easy to maneuver. We haven't tried running with it since we have an additional jogging stroller, but the front wheel that comes with it is very tough heavy. Even if the front wheel does not lock, it should be good on smooth trails. Very happy with this purchase----Original Update:We have decided to return this one and so far customer support has been very professional and will help to get a new one out to us. We like the quality of the trailer with the exception of the possible FedEx Delivery issue and the warped wheels. We will update the review once more when we have our child riding in it. Thanks so far HamaxUSA----Original Review:I was really excited to get this product. It was very expensive. FedEx dropped it off 1 hour ago and the box was torn and taped back together haphazardly. A few minutes ago I took the trailer out of the box to assemble and noticed a large dent on the frame tube near the feet. There are scratches on the tube and the wheels do not rotate smoothly. I am not sure if it is Hamax's fault or FedEx (maybe a bit of both) but it is disappointing. The trailer is still functional so I am right now debating wether to return it.

Good quality but very heavy!

Totally worth it! My husband and I are avid bike riders and hanging a baby out a hold on it due to safety concerns. The infant insert works just like a car seat giving reassurance to safety while riding. It converts really easily into a stroller as well. Lots of storage space as well!

Amazing stroller and offers a lot of space for storage. Easy to assemble and the kids love it!
