A Game-Changer for Creative Photography
I just recently made a purchase of the Fotodiox Pro Lens Mount Adapter, which features a focusing barrel and enables the use of Mamiya RB67 and RZ67 lenses on Sony E-Mount mirrorless cameras. This adaptor has been a surprise for me as a commercial photographer who is always looking for ways to differentiate my work. From the moment I opened the packaging, I was impressed by the adapter's construction quality. My cherished Mamiya lenses are now able to transfer their one-of-a-kind personality to a digital format without having to make any sacrifices in terms of stability or focus accuracy all thanks to this sturdy and precisely fitting accessory.Through the utilization of this adapter, my creative horizons have been greatly expanded. Now that I have access to the advanced digital features of my Sony camera, I am able to take use of the distinct image quality and depth of field that Mamiya lenses provide. My ability to distinguish myself in a competitive market that places a high value on individual visual styles is made possible by this one-of-a-kind combo.Furthermore, the focusing barrel on the adapter is smooth and precise, which enables tiny manual focus changes. These adjustments are essential when attempting to achieve ideal sharpness in professional shoots. Because of this, I have been able to explore new avenues in photography. I am now able to combine the advantages of modern digital technology with the aesthetics of old optics, which not only sets my work apart but also serves as a topic of conversation with both my clients and my peers. It can be concluded that the Fotodiox Pro Lens Mount Adapter is an indispensable piece of equipment for any photographer who is interested in utilizing their traditional lenses with the most recent advancements in camera technology. By giving my old, reliable Mamiya lenses a new lease on life in the digital age, it has unquestionably enabled me to differentiate myself from the rest of the pack. Individuals that place a high priority on creativity and quality in their photographic work are strongly encouraged to consider this.

Thank You
I use a lot of adapters because I like using vintage lenses on modern digital cameras. Usually the adapters are straight-forward, like m42 to Sony a or e-mount. Deckel (DKL) to e-mount are not simple adapters because Kodak designed their German-made Retina cameras to have the aperture control on the camera body not on the lens. Schneider Kreuznach made some wonderful lenses for the Retina cameras, and when I found a set of them, a 35mm Curtagon, a 50mm Xenon and a 135mm Tele-Xenar with the body at a good price, I bought them. Then I set about to find adapters and discovered they were not easy to come by. They're a niche item. The ones I could find were made in China and the fit and finish was not very good. It was difficult to mount the lens and the lenses would focus past infinity, so if you were not careful, distant scenes would be soft.Fotodiox manufactures quality DKL mount adapters, not subject to the problems mentioned, but I had to wait awhile for the company to retool and produce more of these strange adapters for the few of us who require them. But they did, and I'm grateful.

Will not work. No contacts on these, so recognize lens with them on it.
This product is horrible! I should have known: if it’s too good to be true, it usually is. These have no contacts, therefore my Sony a6400 doesn’t recognize my lens with these on.I only gave 1 star because that’s the lowest possible. This is actually 0 stars.Amazon didn’t even require me to return it for credit. They issued a credit and I threw away.

Does the job for APS-C. Ready for full-frame glory?
Inexpensive, no-frills, works as advertised. If you have a 21st century E-mount camera and have access to C/Y SLR lenses, this will bring them back to life. Of course, they will still be 20th century lenses, manual focus, manual aperture control. But some things (like riding the proverbial bicycle) you don't forget. The Sony NEX-6 makes using manual focus lenses surprisingly easy with its readily-accessible MF mode (enlarged center view in the finder with focus peaking highlighting). It would be very interesting indeed to see how this works with the just-announced, not-yet-shipping Alpha A7/A7r full frame cameras. In theory, it should work fine -- and a 50mm SLR lens will actually be 50mm effective focal length. Of course, the devil is always in the details, and the physical depth of this adapter may lead to vignetting and softness in the edges of the image when in full frame mode. Only time will tell. On an APS-C sensor camera (NEX-5/6/7) you are in crop mode (a 50mm normal SLR lens is effectively a 75mm portrait lens) and seeing only the center of the image anyway, so corner sharpness isn't a problem. One quirk of this unit is that the tripod mount is not at a 6 o'clock position aligned with the bottom plate of the camera when fitted to my NEX-6. Doesn't bother me, but be aware. There may well be some sample to sample variations in these puppies.

Very basic and the extension nulls out your expensive camera features.
Very sorry I even thought this could be viable. This extension unscrews while you’re trying to manually focus and zoom the deactivate autofocus on your very expensive a7iii. Not recommended unless you have everything you need to take macro photos- tripod, lighting, maybe a light box, etc. Otherwise, skip this.
