This is a great two piece set for keeping your nails in order. The two parts stack behind each other in the case, making for something that takes up very little room, and is ideal for when you are on the road.Now to cover the basics:Nail ClippersThese are great, with very precise pressure for cutting, and firm leverage, producing nice crisp edges. They are far superior to the other three nail clippers I have used prior. The design is very compact. The curve means that the edge is perfect for rectifying a hangnail.Ceramic FileAside from the broad top and bottom surfaces, this has a slit running down one side that the nail can glide through to smooth the edge, contouring it in both directions. The coarseness (grit) of the file is just right for me, settling in the middleground where it neither takes too long, nor leaves any trace of a rough edge.All in all I highly recommend this item to you. They have served me well for three years, and they're still clipping/and filing, like new.P.S. The title of the review refers to the spate of people I have noticed recently (on a train, in the office, on a cruise ship, and in Qdoba) who mistakenly think clipping your nails in public is acceptable.

Pros...best file I've ever used, I love the groves on the file, clippers are heavy duty and sharp, nice and compact, engineering in the clippers is absolutely amazing. Very sharp.Cons...the plastic part of the file seems cheap and not designed well, I don't see why they couldn't make the file body more compact and made the case a side by side pocket instead of a stacked pocket. No way to attach the clippers to my key chain, but I don't think I would attach these expensive thing to it any way.I would definitely recommend this set. I would give five stars if the would reengineer the file body and case!

Very disappointed. Expected more from German engineering. Product is very small making it difficult to handle. Although the cutting blades are sharp. The nail file is ok, but the plastic case it folds into is flimsy. I bought two of these, one for me and another as a gift. Really disappointed. Seriously thought about sending it back. But decided to keep as a back up for travel only. I would NOT buy it again.

Nail clippers are crazy sharp and work well once you get used to them, but somewhat difficult to hold if you have slightly larger than normal hands. Nails file works ok, but abrasive material wears down quickly, unlike the ceramic file I bought from Zwilling a few years ago.

Love this kit - especially the nail file. It has 3 different surfaces which is such an improvement over other nail files. They are brittle, so can break if dropped, which is why i like the leather pouch for protection. The nail file is sharp, but a little hard to get used to at first (getting it locked into cutting mode). Have bought 3 sets so far, and will buy a 4th.

Clipper is a 5 star item, excellent travel nail clipper.The nail file is much less useful and made of lesser materials.I bought this kit as I wanted the nail clipper.If you can find just the clipper I highly recommend you purchase it.

..received mine 'bout mid of Oct 2015 and this item are trully slim as design for the nails clipper and sharp.Mine intention bought this item is to use for many years to come..since its were made from stainless steel..
