Fantastic General Purpose Affordable Amplifier
I bought this unit as a station amplifier for my amateur radio (ham) station. It works very well and has lots of power to drive my little 3-inch cube speakers. Hookup was easy. Nice knob, standard connector, bright blue LED for "Power On", and the board has convenient mounting holes should you want to put it in a little enclosure. For non-techies, be sure that you read the clearly-marked silk screening on the board that tells you which lines go where! It's easy though: you just need a little screwdriver to attach the leads to power and your speakers. The heat sink is huge and will safely support the audio chip used without letting it get overheated. Overall, this is a 10/10 unit for the price and for my specific application in amateur radio. I'm an extremely happy customer.

Incredible what you can get these days for your money
Very good product. I am amazed how well this thing sounds. Plug it to a pair of large 10W-90W 8Ohm speakers and very happy with the results. It has a standard input jack, two output channels and input power. Of course all the work is done by the TDA7297.The board asks for 12V AC/DC but this IC allows 6.5V to 18V (with an absolute maximum rating of 20V and 2Amps). Actually I measured current consumption and at a reasonable volume (enough to fill a large room) it draws around .3 A on average and the heatsink barely gets warm. Also, the datasheet recommends a 470uF filter capacitor but the board has a large 2200uF capacitor (Chongx brand 105C). It also has a silicon diode so I suppose it is used as a half wave rectifier when you use AC, which I don't see the point anyway. In any case, I think I will put a spare Rubycon cap I have around and see if I notice any difference. Overall, very happy with this little amp.

A nice little amp but not entirely plug and play
I found a few solder joints that needed to be reheated and more solder added. It's a nice compact amp, but the silk screening on it is poor and no instructions came with it so you'll have to come back to the image on this page to note the proper hookups. Noticed the component layout is slightly different and the channels are reversed from the one in the picture as a few other reviewers have experienced. If you have any question as to which channel is which, take a cable with dual RCA plugs on one end and 3.5mm plug on the other, touch the pin of the white plug and whichever speaker hums will be your left channel. Polarities appear to be correct.Update- I'm going to replace the volume control as it's scratchy and the two channels don't track well at low volume. Also will be replacing the input jack as the contact on the left channel isn't the best and sometimes affects the volume. I plan on mounting the amp on a rack panel anyway, so having these two items off the board actually makes my project easier. As for the power rating, you'll only get the full 15W by feeding it with 16.5V or so and your power supply must be capable of 2A of current or better. Lesser voltage = less power out. Audio quality is nice and clean. Despite its shortcomings I'd probably buy more of these. If you get the version of this amp without the power jack, I highly recommend the Mean Well RS-50-15 power supply. It's rated at 15V but has a bit of adjustment range and can be set to just a little over 17V for maximum power out of this amp without exceeding its rated voltage, and has more than enough current to drive it. Mean Well power supplies are frequently found in broadcast equipment so they're quite reliable.

Nice little amp.
For the price, it works really well! I used it to power 4 tweeters; 1-pair per channel in parallel to use as an electronic dog whistle. I was able to push it up to max volume on a 2-ohm load per channel with 18kHz square wave with no problems. It even began to hurt my ears!Tested it when the dogs downstairs (apartment complex) started to bark at a passing dog outside. immediately, the dogs stopped barking. My next step is to set it up for wireless triggering at 5-10 second playback. After about a week's use, I've noticed the dogs bark less and less. Now that the neighbors have been out of town for the holidays, I used this little amp on a 45w, 4-ohm speaker "bridged". It had that little speaker thumping for its size. It would have sounded better in an enclosure. I may buy more in time.

Excellent little amp and a great price
Works perfectly. Excellent little amp and a great price. I am using it for a MAME arcade setup to a mono speaker, powered off of an unused 4 pin MOLEX connector's 12v and ground. A little feedback at high volumes, but the speaker I have it connected to isn't the best. The unit isn't even getting hot at the heatsink, which is nice.Seller is very good and had clear communication and was very accommodating.[UPDATE]: 5/18/16: I have now been using this for a few months on a set of passive 8 Ohm speakers typically found in a car stereo setup. I have a stereo cable plugged into the jack. The +12VDC power is coming from a spliced 4 pin Molex wire from my computer's power supply. This thing works wonderfully and still doesn't heat up. No problems at all so far!

Ordered (3)... all defective
My application was for an ultrasonic (20kHz-40kHz) piezo driver. That frequency range eliminates all those now popular class D amp modules available. So I had to go retrograde and find some class AB modules which generally exceed 20kHz without much power loss. The unfiltered TDA7297 chip will do 40Hz to 100kHz @ -1dB with acceptable distortion. Unfortunately I ordered three units and two were DOA (no signal at all) and one only reproduced the positive going signal (sine wave) while running extremely hot. All tested with an 8 Ohm load and 12.5Vdc power supply. Otherwise nice layout and simple hookup.

Great deal, works better than expected.
I'm trying this out in my rzr side by side. So far it seems pretty good. Hook up power and ground and 2 speakers. Very small and easy to mount almost anywhere. Hopefully it lasts getting wet but for the price it doesn't really matter.Update: the input plug eventually broke off. i didn't expect it to last as long as it did, being mounted with just zip ties then sprayed with water and mud for a few weekends.

Genial
Cumple perfecto, sonido claro y potente. Los conectores parecen ser frágiles, pero si lo cuidas bien no representa ningún peligro.

Great Little Amp.
It works like a charm. Had to solder a line filter between this and my bluetooth audio module to eliminate buzzing and static. It was part of my boombox re-vamp and it sounds great. Nice and loud with disotrtion only when we really crank it up too loudly. As others have mentioned, the speaker wire connectors do come loose and had to be re-soldered and i added epoxy at the base for added support. For the price definitely worth it.
