Absolutely love, love, LOVE this cover!
Wanted to wait a while after I purchased this cover (bought the sofa and loveseat) before I reviewed it 'cause I wanted to test it out first with my husband and three dogs. Our dogs are....I'm embarrassed to admit....prone to pee on things (two males and a female), and I inherited a lovely tapestry couch and loveseat from my mom's estate which I absolutely had to protect, without fail!!! We tried a waterproof mattress cover which did provide protection but was UUUUUGLY! We were sprucing up the living room and that thing HAD TO GO! When I found these on Amazon -- yes, they were expensive -- but the reviews were good and, well, I generally like Serta products. So I took the plunge and purchased them.AM I GLAD I DID! O...M...Gosh! These things are great! Not only do they look really nice (as furniture covers go), but for some odd reason our dogs have REFUSED TO PEE ON THEM! (Can't explain it!) It took a little breaking in for the covers to stay absolutely in place when you sit down (elastic around the cushions kept wanting to pop off) but now they don't budge. We had company over the other day---two adults on the sofa, two adults on the loveseat---and when they left, all I had to do was adjust the arm covers a little and it was good to go! And they look good, too! We bought the tan or beige or whatever you call it, and it goes with the neutrals beautifully in our living room. Looks like suede!Yes, yes, yes....a real find and worth every penny for pet owners who want to protect their furniture!

Nice cover
We have two cats and after adopting a dog and one of our cats developing a bladder issue, we found we needed a cover for our chair. This one matches one we already bought for our couch. The waterproof feature seems to work fine. We haven't really had any issues since purchasing it since we ordered it at the tail end of his treatment. But it is a nice thing to have regardless. It fits well. The straps and ties to keep it in place do not work with our particular chair, but for our couch cover they are great features!

So far, GREAT!
I received my loveseat-sized protector and love it, so far! Appearance is superb, though the incorporated fasteners do little to hold it in place with a futon mattress sans the "ears". I'll be interested to learn how it stands up to CAREFUL laundering, given the occasional difficulties mentioned in reviews here?Although ordered at the same time, I have yet to receive my two (2) chair-sized protectors, with Amazon stating "1~3 months delivery" time frames. After speaking with the customer service division of Perfect Fit Industries, LLC (the North Carolina-based, Serta-licensed manufacturer), I learned today - September 14, 2016 - that the camel colored product I ordered is indeed in the process of being manufactured, and I was assured that Amazon should be receiving them in stock within a week or two.I was further advised by the manufacturer to contact Amazon if I've not received notice of shipping within that time frame...

DON'T PUT IN DRYER!!
Before you read...know that I really like this cover. But, while I can say that this cover WAS waterproof......take my advice, and don't put it in the dryer...not even on the lowest setting. You'll find out the hard way that it loses it's water-proofness. I was having a problem with a dog peeing on my couch (solved now-it was medical), so I was washing it a LOT. The first time I put it in the dryer on low, and some of the waterproof backing lost it! That being said, I WOULD buy it again. It's comfy and easy to use. They should just change the care instructions.

not worth the trouble
ended up throwing it away. doesn't fit my couch. it has a camel back hump and just doesn't fit. the under side doesn't have a no slip grip so, it moves around a lot when you install it. The bottom has straps that you tie to the couch legs, but they are poorly sewn on, so they tore from the fabric very easily. too easily. I ended up cutting off the arm protectors and throwing out the rest. I still use the arm protectors but that's it.

Loved it at first.
I have downgraded to a 1 Star. It shrinks terrible and no longer can stretch over the couch cushions. Will never buy this again. If it won’t be use much and you won’t need to wash often then maybe. But I would never recommend.**********With two young kids, a dog, and cats I needed a waterproof cover for the new couch. It worked well with an accident from the dog and split water from the kids. My son even got sick on it. Early on the strap to hold it to the backside of the couch ripped off but it still worked for what I needed it for. I was happy. But after several washings the plastic that makes it waterproof is ripping from the seams on the underside. I will still use it because 90% coverage is better then none at all but will not buy again. I have only had it for going on 4 months and have only washed it 4 times. Once a month, not excessive washings, but still the material that makes it useful to me is tearing and leaving unprotected areas. For the money I'm dissapointed. Will check out if surefit has any waterproof covers next time.

SUPER happy with this choice
SUPER happy with this choice. We searched for a long time before giving in to spending a little extra money on this, and it was worth it. We have two dogs who shed like hell, and one who likes to "nest" (aka dig/scratch) before she settles in for her naps. So far, this thing has stood the test of time. The material is soft and absorbent, but liquid doesn't leak through or bead off of it, making a mess. It washes in the washing machine nicely, and the material doesn't get those little "pills" or "fuzzies" on it after the wash. It's easy to attach/detach from the couch, but I would warn against pulling too hard - I did accidentally rip one of the tie-on pieces off pretty easily by pulling/adjusting the front too hard when the ties were attached to the back couch legs. The ties are thick but they're soft - that was my fault. So forewarned is forearmed, friends. Nonetheless, this was a good purchase after going through two other couch covers that didn't really hold up - it was worth the higher price.
